Pogroms in Russia

Oligarch Jews population in Tsarist Russia was perfect platform for economic activity and common speculation in the Jewish community which of course, in terms of economic poverty of people and the ravages of Russia, it did not provide Jews' satisfaction. Besides, greed of Jews eventually led to restrictions on them. During such a situation in 1881, Alexander II was killed during an assassination, and of all the accused people, the index finger was towards Jews. By this incident, a new anti-Semitism chapter began in Russian society which is known as pogroms.
Following the events, false figures of the number of Jewish killed people are reported which results in limiting policies against them.

For example, during the first 6 months of 1999, the numbers of 7933 Russian Jews have gone to Israel that depicts 116% increase over the same period in the last year.
In fact researchers know the increase of immigration from Russia, which was going to peak before intifada of Al-Aqsa, as a result of growth of anti-Semitism in Russia. The Jewish agency in April 2001 reports acknowledge the fact in which an organized group in the U.S.A, which has focused on Jews of the Union Soviet, praised letters of 98 senators of America to Vladimir Putin, the Russian president. Irrespective of the question that whether in Russia can anti-Semitism still exist away from communist and fond of liberalism? It should be noted that Russia is among the countries that has provided long-term presence of Jews in the country and plenty of disruptions for the people and background of a politic action lays in society like fire under ashes.
