Once upon a time there was a person who began to travel. He went and went and reached a desert. He looked around and noticed there were a well there. He went toward it to pull water from it to quench thirst of himself and his camel. First, he looked at the bottom of the well to see whether or not it had water. When he bowed he saw there were some animals in the well moving everywhere at the bottom of the well. When the animals noticed the presence of the man, they began to beg him to save them from the well. The passenger pitied these poor animals and immediately opened the scarf of his waist and hung into the well in order that the animals took it and came upwards. First, the snake took the scarf and the passenger pulled it out. When the snake reached up, it crawled on the ground and decided to compensate this chivalry of the passenger. So it peeled a part of its skin and gave it to the man and said him: "If you are in a very difficult situation, fire this skin and I will appear immediately to help you." It also recommended him not to save the human being who was in the well, since he was not worthy of any favor.
Next he took up a female rat. The rat also gave him some hair strands and wanted him when he had no hope to anyone to fire them in order that he reached as soon as possible. It also said him that the human being at the bottom of the well did not deserve goodness. The passenger pulled out all the animals one by one, and when he was going heard the cry of that human and took pity on him too. The man at the bottom of the well cried how the passenger knew himself a human while he had saved all the animals without saving him who was a human being. So the passenger hung again his scarf into the well and pulled the man upward and then confidently continued his way to go to the city.
When he arrived at the city, took a house in one of its busy alleys and kept on his life happily. After some duration, he came to this thought to call the rat in order to see if it really was faithful to its promise. So immediately he took the hair of the rat out of the spell bag hung on his neck and went a corner and fired it. The rat came immediately and asked him what wish he had. The man said he liked to have the treasure of the king. The rat said if he followed exactly what it was saying he could possess the fortune of the king. The rat said he had to put a basket at the gate of the city at evening, and at the dawn, when he was able to distinguish black and white threads from each other, he had to go there. There, he would find the treasure of the king and he could take it and bring it to his home.
The man bought a basket and when it was getting dark he went and put the basket at the same place the rat had said and waited. When it dawned he rapidly got up and went there and saw the basket was full of gold. Swiftly took them and brought them to his home and hid them somewhere. Now he had a fortune no one could see it even in his/her dream as his/her possession. From that day lived as a king. Every dad went bathroom and ordered the best tailors of the city to sew the best clothes for him and he ordered the best chefs to cook the best foods for him. No longer he lacked anything in his life.
But now hear about the king who suddenly encountered absence of much of his treasure. He immediately ordered that the beadles to blare that if anyone found the thief of the treasury of the king, the king would give him not only his daughter but also half of his country. But whatever the beadles blared there were no news.
At last they went to the famous soothsayer of the city who knew about the works of Jinn and mankind. When they brought the soothsayer, he said he had to go to the treasury of the king alone. They sent the soothsayer to the treasury and he inspected all the ways, but he understood nothing. He wanted to bring massive straw and fire them in the treasury. When the straw caught fire he inspected around the treasury and noticed that smoke was coming out through a narrow hole. He went and informed the king the thief of the gold was a mouse that had taken it out of the treasury. The king accounted this speech of the poor soothsayer as a joke and immediately ordered that the executioner took him and cut off his head and the beadles again blare in the city.
The beadles blared and the people understood what happened for the soothsayer. One of the people hearing that blaring was the same man who had heard the speech of the rat at the bottom of the well. He got ready and went to the palace of the king and said that the soothsayer was right and that he knew the home of the thief of the treasury. He gave the king the address of the thief. Afterwards he told the king his story thoroughly. The king ordered the officers to catch the righteous man. They brought him hand tied to the king. The king ordered to tie chains to his neck and be imprisoned in a dungeon. In the hardship of the dungeon, the man suddenly remembered the snake skin and the promise the snake had undertaken. Immediately took the snake' skin out of the bag hung on his neck and fired it. The snake appeared immediately and said him what his wish was. The man said the only wish oh him is release from that prison. The snake said him the he would get free the next day. It said this and hid under the door of the dungeon.
When it was night, the loud sound of cry be heard from the room of the king's son such that all the habitants of the palace had be awaken. The king and the authority ran to the room of the only son of the king and saw a big poisonous snake had coiled around the waist of the prince and its head was also erected behind the neck of the poor prince. No one knew how the frightened prince could be saved. But the king had heard that an ascetic had built a cottage in the desert and lived there, and it was said the he had friendship with animals. Quickly he sent persons to bring the ascetic man. When the ascetic man came, although he never was frightened of animals until then, did not dare to go front to close the snake.
The news of this accident was propagated and reached to the same man whom be prisoned by the king in the dungeon. He said the guard that he had to go and say the king that the save of his son was only in his hands, and he should take him to the room of his son. The guard went and gave the king that news. As the king ordered, they took the prisoner to the room of the prince immediately. The man said that this snake would not sting the prince and would leave there arbitrarily, but this matter had a condition being that the brain of a specified man must be given to it before. Then the man gave the specifications and address of the same person who had not appreciated him. The guards went and brought that man and immediately cut of his head and put his brain in a plate and gave it to the prisoner man. The man held the plate in front of the snake. As soon as the snake saw the plate, uncoiled from the body of the prince and crawled into the sleeve of the man.
The king and the prince and others sighed of relief, and also the king fulfilled his promise and decorated the city and they celebrated seven nights and seven days and also the king gave his daughter and half of the country to that righteous man.
