Once upon a time in ancient days there was a merchant who had no one other than his wife and his daughter. When he died, his wife and daughter remained alone in this big world. But the woman knew something about divination by sand and could predict people's conditions with a handful of sand. She could also go on the hills and predict by seeing the pits.
When the woman saw she had no man prayed and wanted God to guide her. When finished her prayer, she stood up took a handful of sand and scattered on the ground and suddenly became worried. She saw that her daughter would become the wife of her black slave. She did not believe and took refuge in God from Satan, and again divined. Sand revealed the same fate. Her back shook from such a fate and said herself how such a beautiful girl would go into the embrace of such a black person.
She sat down and calculated how she could get rid of the black slave. When she thought well, she called the slave and said him that she intended to make him free, but first he should go and ask the souse of sun what was the fortune of the daughter of his master. The poor slave who saw a way had been opened for his freedom from slavery became glad and welcomed to obey such an order. Immediately he got ready to travel.
This underdog who never had gone out of city until then, was going city to city and country to country while knew nowhere. He just trusted in God and was going. One day he reached at a man who had a stick and was grazing the white and black sheep in the plain. The slave went ahead and greeted and asked what that road was and where it ended. The shepherd asked him where he wanted to go and what he followed. The slave answered that he intended to go to the source of sun and asked what would be the fortune of the daughter of his master.
‌The shepherd thought deeply and requested him that when he found the source of sun to ask it until when the shepherd's eyes should be following the flock. The slave who had not taken his answer continued his way and went. He went and went so far as he reached a man who had a sickle and was reaping the green and yellow clusters of wheat and poured all of them into the river. The slave greeted him and the reaper replied. The slave asked where that way ended. The man asked him where he wanted to go. The slave said he was following the source of sun to ask about the fortune of the daughter of his master. The reaper requested him if he reached there to ask it about until when the reaper should reap the green and yellow clusters of wheat and pour them into the river without distinguishing which were green and which were yellow.
The poor slave continued and went each way in front of him. He reached a very big sea. He saw a big fish was swimming on the water. As the fish saw the slave said him good morning and asked him where he was going. The slave sat at the beach and said he was going to the source of sun to ask what the fortune of his master's daughter was. The fish asked how he wanted to go and whether or not he knew where it was. The slave answered that he did not know and no way was familiar for him, and he trusted only in God and wanted it to guide him. The fish said him it would reach him the other side of the sea provided that when he arrived at the source of sun asked it why the fish swam on the water. He agreed, and the fish wanted him to ride it. The slave sat on back of the fish, and the fish took him to the other side of the sea. When the slave landed, the fish said him the it would wait him. The slave went and went and reached the source of sun. Due to enthusiasm he did not know what to do. Immediately he asked: "What is the fortune of the daughter of my master?" The source answered: "Her fortune is yourself. That daughter will be your wife." The slave who had become so glad, said: "How long should the shepherd follow flock?" The source answered: "That shepherd keeps account of the days and nights, and he should do that work always." The slave said: "Now you answered these two, please say how long the reaper should reap green and yellow clusters of wheat and pour them into the river without knowing the difference between them." The source answered: "He is a person killing every young and old people without having importance for him their youth or oldness, and his work will be this always." The slave said that he had another question: "Why does that big fish swim on the water and cannot go under water surface?" The source answered: "I will tell you its secret, but first it must take you to the other side of the sea, otherwise, by learning its cure it will go under water and you will remain here hopeless. When you reach the other side of the sea, gently hit on the back of it to fall out of his mouth a hazelnut-sized pearl. Then, it will be able to swim under water surface like any other fish. That pearl be a gift to you. But you have to know that there are two pools of stone in the road existent at the other side of your home. You will find water in one of them and treasure in the other one. If you swim in the first you will become white like silver. Take also the treasure of the other one and continue living with a good and happy life."
The slave returned back in the same way he had gone, and rode the fish, and when reached to the other side of the sea hit gently on the back of the fish and the pearl fell out of its mouth. The slave picked up the pearl, and the fish went into the sea too. The slave came and came and gave the answers of the reaper and the shepherd, and kept on his way. Before going to the wife of his master, he went to the pool of water and swam well by which his skin became so white that even himself did not know himself. Then he loaded the treasure of the second pool on back of several mules and went toward the house of his master's wife. Near the house, people were following him by seeing such a fortune. When he arrived the house the mater's wife did not know him at first and thought that he was the nephew of his husband who had heard the news of the death of his uncle and now had come for matchmaking his uncle's daughter. She was glad and said herself who was better than him for her daughter. She was such happy that forgot the slave figure and took and seated him at the best part of the room. None of the slave and the woman said anything. The only thing she said was a question from him that whether he liked to marry her daughter. The slaved answered if her mother was satisfied in this respect, he would agree.
At the same night, they specified dowry and began to wedding preparation. All necessary things prepared. The invited the gusts and sent the girl to bathroom. At wedding night the beard of the bridegroom smelled scent, and he was standing in front of the bride. The bride was so ashamed. As she waited the bridegroom was continuing standing like a flag. At last she said him: "Why don't you come to sit beside me comfortably?" The bridegroom answered: "You are the daughter of my master. How can I sit beside you without your order?" The bride was surprised and said: "What are you saying?" The bridegroom told her what happened to him that her other sent him to the source of sun and what he saw and what he did until when he became white and how he got such a huge fortune, and that although now his life had become completely good and was her husband, yet he knew himself as the slave of the daughter of his master. The girl became happy and wanted him not to reveal his secret for any one. The girl gave thanks to God and they kept on having a good and happy life together.
