Russian Communist revolution and its impact on Zionism

The overthrow of the Tsarist government in Russia is undoubtedly one of the greatest events in the history of the world. Restrictions that were imposed on nationalities and ethnic groups were eliminated. But the Russian Revolution not only did not destroy Zionism, but this new freedom granted a strong incentive to the movement.

The Zionist movement had made considerable progress in Turkmenistan and Bukhara. Sephardic Jews declared their support for the Zionist movement. Ashkenazi and Sephardic Jews in the great Zionist conference that was held in Samarkand have cooperated with each other sincerely. In the Samarkand congress about five thousand Jews participated in the conference and a resolution was issued in support of Palestine becoming a Jewish homeland. Jewish Congress was held in the Great Hall of the Moscow. Dr. E. Yi, W. Chelno was elected as head of gathering.
Dr. Chelno gave a speech at the conference, during which he also told other contents, and he said:
We want interim socialist government to believe that it can fully trust our support and our forces in their heroic struggle to strengthen freedom and greatness of Russia. Getting a focus of national territory by votes of scattered Jewish people is what is required and what we're trying to do. Establishment of the center has already begun and it will continue. The focus will be accumulated gradually by forces and facilities of wandering Jews. Which of you did not follow the youngest branch of the Jewish people, the Americans, with the enthusiasm during the past one and a half years? Hundreds of thousands of workers have unanimously called for guaranteeing the rights of wandering Jews and an autonomous center in the Palestine. New York's Jewish community, which represents one million and two hundred and fifty thousand Jews, chants slogans of ensuring the rights of wandering Jews and creating a Jewish autonomous center in Palestine. Moreover, the Zionist movement Congress that represents all three million Jews in the US is expected to make important decisions till the next autumn. But what was not predictable was how the broad communities of the Jews acted toward the Zionist aspiration that revealed itself since the Bolshevik Revolution onwards.
The conference was held with the participation of five hundred and fifty two representatives from six hundred and forty cities. Petrograd Conference issued the following resolution. For true realization and perfect manifestation of the will of the Jewish people, the conference knows it needed to start a referendum among Jews start about the subject, then raise the issue of claims of the Jews in Palestine in the Congress of Russian Jews, and finally demand presence of representatives of the Jewish people in the future peace conference that will be held by ending hostilities to retell the aspirations of the people and the support of Zionism.
New Bolshevik rulers' behavior in Russia showed that they were also aligned with the goals and objectives of the Zionist movement in a well-organized way and supported creating a Jewish state in Palestine in different ways.
