1. Eye
Quran states
أَلَمْ نَجْعَل لَّهُ عَیْنَیْنِ
Have We not made for him a pair of eyes.
وَتَوَلَّىٰ عَنْهُمْ وَقَالَ یَا أَسَفَىٰ عَلَىٰ یُوسُفَ وَابْیَضَّتْ عَیْنَاهُ مِنَ الْحُزْنِ فَهُوَ كَظِیمٌ
And he turned away from them, and said: "How great is my grief for Joseph! And his eyes became white with sorrow, and he fell into silent melancholy.
وَإِذْ یُرِیكُمُوهُمْ إِذِ الْتَقَیْتُمْ فِی أَعْیُنِكُمْ قَلِیلًا وَیُقَلِّلُكُمْ فِی أَعْیُنِهِمْ لِیَقْضِیَ اللَّهُ أَمْرًا كَانَ مَفْعُولًا ۗ وَإِلَى اللَّهِ تُرْجَعُ الْأُمُورُ
And remember when ye met, He showed them to you as few in your eyes, and He made you appear as contemptible in their eyes: that Allah might accomplish a matter already enacted. For to Allah do all questions go back (for decision).
قَالَ أَلْقُوا ۖ فَلَمَّا أَلْقَوْا سَحَرُوا أَعْیُنَ النَّاسِ وَاسْتَرْهَبُوهُمْ وَجَاءُوا بِسِحْرٍ عَظِیمٍ
Said Moses: "Throw ye (first)." So when they threw, they bewitched the eyes of the people, and struck terror into them: for they showed a great (feat of) magic.
أَلَهُمْ أَرْجُلٌ یَمْشُونَ بِهَا ۖ أَمْ لَهُمْ أَیْدٍ یَبْطِشُونَ بِهَا ۖ أَمْ لَهُمْ أَعْیُنٌ یُبْصِرُونَ بِهَا ۖ أَمْ لَهُمْ آذَانٌ یَسْمَعُونَ بِهَا ۗ قُلِ ادْعُوا شُرَكَاءَكُمْ ثُمَّ كِیدُونِ فَلَا تُنظِرُونِ
Have they feet to walk with? Or hands to lay hold with? Or eyes to see with? Or ears to hear with? Say: "Call your ´god-partners´, scheme (your worst) against me, and give me no respite.
أَشِحَّةً عَلَیْكُمْ ۖ فَإِذَا جَاءَ الْخَوْفُ رَأَیْتَهُمْ یَنظُرُونَ إِلَیْكَ تَدُورُ أَعْیُنُهُمْ كَالَّذِی یُغْشَىٰ عَلَیْهِ مِنَ الْمَوْتِ ۖ فَإِذَا ذَهَبَ الْخَوْفُ سَلَقُوكُم بِأَلْسِنَةٍ حِدَادٍ أَشِحَّةً عَلَى الْخَیْرِ ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ لَمْ یُؤْمِنُوا فَأَحْبَطَ اللَّهُ أَعْمَالَهُمْ ۚ وَكَانَ ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى اللَّهِ یَسِیرًا
Covetous over you. Then when fear comes, thou wilt see them looking to thee, their eyes revolving, like (those of) one over whom hovers death: but when the fear is past, they will smite you with sharp tongues, covetous of goods. Such men have no faith, and so Allah has made their deeds of none effect: and that is easy for Allah.
وَكَتَبْنَا عَلَیْهِمْ فِیهَا أَنَّ النَّفْسَ بِالنَّفْسِ وَالْعَیْنَ بِالْعَیْنِ وَالْأَنفَ بِالْأَنفِ وَالْأُذُنَ بِالْأُذُنِ وَالسِّنَّ بِالسِّنِّ وَالْجُرُوحَ قِصَاصٌ ۚ فَمَن تَصَدَّقَ بِهِ فَهُوَ كَفَّارَةٌ لَّهُ ۚ وَمَن لَّمْ یَحْكُم بِمَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الظَّالِمُونَ
We ordained therein for them: "Life for life, eye for eye, nose or nose, ear for ear, tooth for tooth, and wounds equal for equal." But if any one remits the retaliation by way of charity, it is an act of atonement for himself. And if any fail to judge by (the light of) what Allah hath revealed, they are (No better than) wrong-doers. یَا أَیُّهَا الَّذِینَ آمَنُوا لَا تُحِلُّوا شَعَائِرَ اللَّهِ وَلَا الشَّهْرَ الْحَرَامَ وَلَا الْهَدْیَ وَلَا الْقَلَائِدَ وَلَا آمِّینَ الْبَیْتَ الْحَرَامَ یَبْتَغُونَ فَضْلًا مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ وَرِضْوَانًا ۚ وَإِذَا حَلَلْتُمْ فَاصْطَادُوا ۚ وَلَا یَجْرِمَنَّكُمْ شَنَآنُ قَوْمٍ أَن صَدُّوكُمْ عَنِ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ أَن تَعْتَدُوا ۘ وَتَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الْبِرِّ وَالتَّقْوَىٰ ۖ وَلَا تَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الْإِثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَانِ ۚ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ ۖ إِنَّ اللَّهَ شَدِیدُ الْعِقَابِ
O ye who believe! Violate not the sanctity of the symbols of Allah, nor of the sacred month, nor of the animals brought for sacrifice, nor the garlands that mark out such animals, nor the people resorting to the sacred house, seeking of the bounty and good pleasure of their Lord. But when ye are clear of the sacred precincts and of pilgrim garb, ye may hunt and let not the hatred of some people in (once) shutting you out of the Sacred Mosque lead you to transgression (and hostility on your part). Help ye one another in righteousness and piety, but help ye not one another in sin and rancour: fear Allah: for Allah is strict in punishment
حُرِّمَتْ عَلَیْكُمُ الْمَیْتَةُ وَالدَّمُ وَلَحْمُ الْخِنزِیرِ وَمَا أُهِلَّ لِغَیْرِ اللَّهِ بِهِ وَالْمُنْخَنِقَةُ وَالْمَوْقُوذَةُ وَالْمُتَرَدِّیَةُ وَالنَّطِیحَةُ وَمَا أَكَلَ السَّبُعُ إِلَّا مَا ذَكَّیْتُمْ وَمَا ذُبِحَ عَلَى النُّصُبِ وَأَن تَسْتَقْسِمُوا بِالْأَزْلَامِ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمْ فِسْقٌ ۗ الْیَوْمَ یَئِسَ الَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا مِن دِینِكُمْ فَلَا تَخْشَوْهُمْ وَاخْشَوْنِ ۚ الْیَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِینَكُمْ وَأَتْمَمْتُ عَلَیْكُمْ نِعْمَتِی وَرَضِیتُ لَكُمُ الْإِسْلَامَ دِینًا ۚ فَمَنِ اضْطُرَّ فِی مَخْمَصَةٍ غَیْرَ مُتَجَانِفٍ لِّإِثْمٍ ۙ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِیمٌ
Forbidden to you (for food) are: dead meat, blood, the flesh of swine, and that on which hath been invoked the name of other than Allah; that which hath been killed by strangling, or by a violent blow, or by a headlong fall, or by being gored to death; that which hath been (partly) eaten by a wild animal; unless ye are able to slaughter it (in due form); that which is sacrificed on stone (altars); (forbidden) also is the division (of meat) by raffling with arrows: that is impiety. This day have those who reject faith given up all hope of your religion: yet fear them not but fear Me. This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion. But if any is forced by hunger, with no inclination to transgression, Allah is indeed Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.
2. Spring
Quran states
وَإِذِ اسْتَسْقَىٰ مُوسَىٰ لِقَوْمِهِ فَقُلْنَا اضْرِب بِّعَصَاكَ الْحَجَرَ ۖ فَانفَجَرَتْ مِنْهُ اثْنَتَا عَشْرَةَ عَیْنًا ۖ قَدْ عَلِمَ كُلُّ أُنَاسٍ مَّشْرَبَهُمْ ۖ كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا مِن رِّزْقِ اللَّهِ وَلَا تَعْثَوْا فِی الْأَرْضِ مُفْسِدِینَ
And remember Moses prayed for water for his people; We said: "Strike the rock with thy staff." Then gushed forth therefrom twelve springs. Each group knew its own place for water. So eat and drink of the sustenance provided by Allah, and do no evil nor mischief on the (face of the) earth.
وَقَطَّعْنَاهُمُ اثْنَتَیْ عَشْرَةَ أَسْبَاطًا أُمَمًا ۚ وَأَوْحَیْنَا إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ إِذِ اسْتَسْقَاهُ قَوْمُهُ أَنِ اضْرِب بِّعَصَاكَ الْحَجَرَ ۖ فَانبَجَسَتْ مِنْهُ اثْنَتَا عَشْرَةَ عَیْنًا ۖ قَدْ عَلِمَ كُلُّ أُنَاسٍ مَّشْرَبَهُمْ ۚ وَظَلَّلْنَا عَلَیْهِمُ الْغَمَامَ وَأَنزَلْنَا عَلَیْهِمُ الْمَنَّ وَالسَّلْوَىٰ ۖ كُلُوا مِن طَیِّبَاتِ مَا رَزَقْنَاكُمْ ۚ وَمَا ظَلَمُونَا وَلَٰكِن كَانُوا أَنفُسَهُمْ یَظْلِمُونَ
We divided them into twelve tribes or nations. We directed Moses by inspiration, when his (thirsty) people asked him for water: "Strike the rock with thy staff": out of it there gushed forth twelve springs: Each group knew its own place for water. We gave them the shade of clouds, and sent down to them manna and quails, (saying): "Eat of the good things We have provided for you": (but they rebelled); to Us they did no harm, but they harmed their own souls.
یَا أَیُّهَا الَّذِینَ آمَنُوا إِذَا قُمْتُمْ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ فَاغْسِلُوا وُجُوهَكُمْ وَأَیْدِیَكُمْ إِلَى الْمَرَافِقِ وَامْسَحُوا بِرُءُوسِكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُمْ إِلَى الْكَعْبَیْنِ ۚ وَإِن كُنتُمْ جُنُبًا فَاطَّهَّرُوا ۚ وَإِن كُنتُم مَّرْضَىٰ أَوْ عَلَىٰ سَفَرٍ أَوْ جَاءَ أَحَدٌ مِّنكُم مِّنَ الْغَائِطِ أَوْ لَامَسْتُمُ النِّسَاءَ فَلَمْ تَجِدُوا مَاءً فَتَیَمَّمُوا صَعِیدًا طَیِّبًا فَامْسَحُوا بِوُجُوهِكُمْ وَأَیْدِیكُم مِّنْهُ ۚ مَا یُرِیدُ اللَّهُ لِیَجْعَلَ عَلَیْكُم مِّنْ حَرَجٍ وَلَٰكِن یُرِیدُ لِیُطَهِّرَكُمْ وَلِیُتِمَّ نِعْمَتَهُ عَلَیْكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ
O ye who believe! when ye prepare for prayer, wash your faces, and your hands (and arms) to the elbows; Rub your heads (with water); and (wash) your feet to the ankles. If ye are in a state of ceremonial impurity, bathe your whole body. But if ye are ill, or on a journey, or one of you cometh from offices of nature, or ye have been in contact with women, and ye find no water, then take for yourselves clean sand or earth, and rub therewith your faces and hands, Allah doth not wish to place you in a difficulty, but to make you clean, and to complete his favour to you, that ye may be grateful.
یَا أَیُّهَا الَّذِینَ آمَنُوا لَا تَقْتُلُوا الصَّیْدَ وَأَنتُمْ حُرُمٌ ۚ وَمَن قَتَلَهُ مِنكُم مُّتَعَمِّدًا فَجَزَاءٌ مِّثْلُ مَا قَتَلَ مِنَ النَّعَمِ یَحْكُمُ بِهِ ذَوَا عَدْلٍ مِّنكُمْ هَدْیًا بَالِغَ الْكَعْبَةِ أَوْ كَفَّارَةٌ طَعَامُ مَسَاكِینَ أَوْ عَدْلُ ذَٰلِكَ صِیَامًا لِّیَذُوقَ وَبَالَ أَمْرِهِ ۗ عَفَا اللَّهُ عَمَّا سَلَفَ ۚ وَمَنْ عَادَ فَیَنتَقِمُ اللَّهُ مِنْهُ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَزِیزٌ ذُو انتِقَامٍ
O ye who believe! Kill not game while in the sacred precincts or in pilgrim garb. If any of you doth so intentionally, the compensation is an offering, brought to the Ka´ba, of a domestic animal equivalent to the one he killed, as adjudged by two just men among you; or by way of atonement, the feeding of the indigent; or its equivalent in fasts: that he may taste of the penalty of his deed. Allah forgives what is past: for repetition Allah will exact from him the penalty. For Allah is Exalted, and Lord of Retribution.
یَا أَیُّهَا الَّذِینَ آمَنُوا شَهَادَةُ بَیْنِكُمْ إِذَا حَضَرَ أَحَدَكُمُ الْمَوْتُ حِینَ الْوَصِیَّةِ اثْنَانِ ذَوَا عَدْلٍ مِّنكُمْ أَوْ آخَرَانِ مِنْ غَیْرِكُمْ إِنْ أَنتُمْ ضَرَبْتُمْ فِی الْأَرْضِ فَأَصَابَتْكُم مُّصِیبَةُ الْمَوْتِ ۚ تَحْبِسُونَهُمَا مِن بَعْدِ الصَّلَاةِ فَیُقْسِمَانِ بِاللَّهِ إِنِ ارْتَبْتُمْ لَا نَشْتَرِی بِهِ ثَمَنًا وَلَوْ كَانَ ذَا قُرْبَىٰ ۙ وَلَا نَكْتُمُ شَهَادَةَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا إِذًا لَّمِنَ الْآثِمِینَ
O ye who believe! When death approaches any of you, (take) witnesses among yourselves when making bequests,- two just men of your own (brotherhood) or others from outside if ye are journeying through the earth, and the chance of death befalls you (thus). If ye doubt (their truth), detain them both after prayer, and let them both swear by Allah: "We wish not in this for any worldly gain, even though the (beneficiary) be our near relation: we shall hide not the evidence before Allah: if we do, then behold! the sin be upon us.
ذَٰلِكَ أَدْنَىٰ أَن یَأْتُوا بِالشَّهَادَةِ عَلَىٰ وَجْهِهَا أَوْ یَخَافُوا أَن تُرَدَّ أَیْمَانٌ بَعْدَ أَیْمَانِهِمْ ۗ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَاسْمَعُوا ۗ وَاللَّهُ لَا یَهْدِی الْقَوْمَ الْفَاسِقِینَ
That is most suitable: that they may give the evidence in its true nature and shape, or else they would fear that other oaths would be taken after their oaths. But fear Allah, and listen (to His counsel): for Allah guideth not a rebellious people.
فَأَخْرَجْنَاهُم مِّن جَنَّاتٍ وَعُیُونٍ
.So We expelled them from gardens, springs
وَجَعَلْنَا فِیهَا جَنَّاتٍ مِّن نَّخِیلٍ وَأَعْنَابٍ وَفَجَّرْنَا فِیهَا مِنَ الْعُیُونِ
And We produce therein orchard with date-palms and vines, and We cause springs to gush forth therein.
وَلِسُلَیْمَانَ الرِّیحَ غُدُوُّهَا شَهْرٌ وَرَوَاحُهَا شَهْرٌ ۖ وَأَسَلْنَا لَهُ عَیْنَ الْقِطْرِ ۖ وَمِنَ الْجِنِّ مَن یَعْمَلُ بَیْنَ یَدَیْهِ بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِ ۖ وَمَن یَزِغْ مِنْهُمْ عَنْ أَمْرِنَا نُذِقْهُ مِنْ عَذَابِ السَّعِیرِ
And to Solomon (We made) the Wind (obedient): Its early morning (stride) was a month´s (journey), and its evening (stride) was a month´s (journey); and We made a Font of molten brass to flow for him; and there were Jinns that worked in front of him, by the leave of his Lord, and if any of them turned aside from our command, We made him taste of the Penalty of the Blazing Fire.
تُسْقَىٰ مِنْ عَیْنٍ آنِیَةٍ
.The while they are given, to drink, of a boiling hot spring
فِی جَنَّةٍ عَالِیَةٍ
. In a Garden on high
لَّا تَسْمَعُ فِیهَا لَاغِیَةً
Where they shall hear no (word) of vanity.
فِیهَا عَیْنٌ جَارِیَةٌ
Therein will be a bubbling spring.
فِیهَا سُرُرٌ مَّرْفُوعَةٌ
Therein will be Thrones (of dignity), raised on high.
إِنَّ الْأَبْرَارَ یَشْرَبُونَ مِن كَأْسٍ كَانَ مِزَاجُهَا كَافُورًا
. As to the Righteous, they shall drink of a Cup (of Wine) mixed with Kafur
عَیْنًا یَشْرَبُ بِهَا عِبَادُ اللَّهِ یُفَجِّرُونَهَا تَفْجِیرًا
A Fountain where the Devotees of Allah do drink, making it flow in unstinted abundance.
عَیْنًا فِیهَا تُسَمَّىٰ سَلْسَبِیلًا
A fountain there, called Salsabil.
3. Preservation and care
Quran states the story of Noah Ship
فَأَوْحَیْنَا إِلَیْهِ أَنِ اصْنَعِ الْفُلْكَ بِأَعْیُنِنَا وَوَحْیِنَا فَإِذَا جَاءَ أَمْرُنَا وَفَارَ التَّنُّورُ ۙ فَاسْلُكْ فِیهَا مِن كُلٍّ زَوْجَیْنِ اثْنَیْنِ وَأَهْلَكَ إِلَّا مَن سَبَقَ عَلَیْهِ الْقَوْلُ مِنْهُمْ ۖ وَلَا تُخَاطِبْنِی فِی الَّذِینَ ظَلَمُوا ۖ إِنَّهُم مُّغْرَقُونَ
So We inspired him (with this message): "Construct the Ark within Our sight and under Our guidance: then when comes Our Command, and the fountains of the earth gush forth, take thou on board pairs of every species, male and female, and thy family- except those of them against whom the Word has already gone forth: And address Me not in favour of the wrong-doers; for they shall be drowned (in the Flood).
تَجْرِی بِأَعْیُنِنَا جَزَاءً لِّمَن كَانَ كُفِرَ
She floats under our eyes (and care): a recompense to one who had been rejected (with scorn).
