The delicious Isfahan Berioon has been a staple of Isfahan cuisine for centuries. Meat Lovers would definitely approve of this dish.
How to Make Isfahan "Berioon"

Ingredients:

500 grams well marbled lamb
1 large onion
1 tablespoon slivered almonds per patty
5 teaspoons dried aromatic herbs
4 teaspoons finely chopped fresh basil
Salt, pepper, turmeric powder and cinnamon powder to taste
Vegetable oil for greasing
How to Make Isfahan "Berioon"

How to:

1. In a medium pot cook the lamb with salt, pepper and turmeric powder for one hour. Then grind the half cooked lamb using a food processor or a hand grinder.
2. Put ground meat in a big bowl. Add chopped fresh basil and dried herbs and mix well using your hands until the mixture comes together and becomes slightly sticky. Form round burger shapes almost 1 cm thick.
3. Generously grease a small saucepan with vegetable oil. Sprinkle with cinnamon powder and one tablespoon slivered almonds. Top with a patty and set on medium heat until cooked completely.
