There is danger everywhere in the world. But its nature and severity is different in each country or area. Irrespective of the place, you should take precautions when you travel. It depends on your exact destination. However, consider suggestions below:
1. Never travel without knowing the destination and the roads to it.
Research on the questions below before a trip:
A0Are there any special warnings on the journey to a destination in terms of security, flood, fire, earthquake, snow and droughts etc or not?
Nowadays, with the development of communication facilities, technology and satellites you can easily catch up with the latest on the roads conditions, climate, dangerous natural events including floods, storm, etc.
Make sure about the safety of the roads you should take .Also required equipments for the trip would protect us from potential dangers.
B0What time of night or day does road security reduce?
C0What are the roads facilities to resist potential events?
D0Where on the road will it be proper and safe to stop and rest?
E0Which are best places to eat?
F0What should be eaten on trips?
2. If you prefer to eat in restaurants, never have salad, unpeeled fruits, or cold beverages with ice especially in unfamiliar restaurants.
3. Never put your money or valuables in a bag or a container. Try to get required information on the cultural and economic status of habitants you might visit when you travel.
Your bag might contain the amount of money which can be earned after several months in poor areas.
Travelers usually have more cash and valuables than natives so they might be rubbed and mugged easily.
They know safe and unsafe areas well. If you don’t know much about people or regions you are passing by, you might probably be more at risk.
4. Try not to ask directions from passersby, you might make strangers aware of your destination. Find a police officer.
Prepare a map and refer to those who might help you more.
To chose the best and safest roads ask from trustworthy people like traffic officers, taxi drivers or shop keepers etc. who might be tracked easily.
In rare cases, when you didn’t find a reliable person for directions, try not to mention your final destination when you ask but rather ask of the closest next city on the way based on your map so that no one would know of it.
5. Never leave your identifications inside hotels or rooms when you travel.
Try not to take identifications or documents inside hotels especially when you travel abroad and if you need to, never leave them there since strangers can enter the rooms in disguise to clean and rub them.
