Olive oil, 3 tbsp
Onions, small, chopped, 2 nos
Tomato paste with Turkish chili,1 tbsp
Tomatoes, chopped finely, 3 nos
Salt and pepper, as per taste
Groats, washed, 2 cups
Chicken stock, 1 liter
Directions
Heat oil in a proper pot and fry the onions. Stir in chili tomato paste, chopped tomatoes, along with salt and pepper. Let the ingredients cook for a couple of minutes until tomato and onion are softened. Then add in groats as well as the chicken stock. Allow it to simmer. Reduce the flame to low and let the simmering goes on for 15 to 20 minutes, with a lid on. Groats absorb the juice and thicken the dish. It resembles like cooked rice in the end. Serve in your desired dish and garnish with tomato slices or wedges. Bon Appetit!
