Introduction
In order for Israel's strategic role to be fully integrated into the region and to become a powerful tool in the service of international imperialism, in particular the United States, and to be a small partner in the economic and strategic interests of imperialism, a powerful military force should be created to carry out these strategic goals in this country. Because receiving help from foreign military forces in terms of realizing different stages of land ownership or resistance to other Arab countries faced direct interest of imperialism with Arab national forces.First: General features of Israeli military thinking
The process of establishing Israeli military forces refers to Israel's internal security theory and the idea refers to the point that says in order to carry out the strategic and political objectives of the Zionist regime they must use the powerful military force. With regard to the two principles of qualitative superiority and deterrence, which are two basic principles in Israeli military thinking, and given the fact that quantitative military power of the Arab Army is much more than Israel, Israel tried to create a powerful army that benefited from the qualitative superiority to compensate the shortage of human resources against the superiority of the Arabs. In Israel, there has always been a presumption to apply weapons superiority against the accumulation of Arab military forces. Of course, such a presumption has not been realized in the fifty years since the formation of the state of Israel. It already has such a military force that not only has the deterrent ability of all Arab countries, but it can also engage in a swift and all-out attack. French and British military support since the beginning of Israel's establishment until the 1967 war and then support of the United States, which continues till now, has transformed Israel into superior weaponry in the region along with the progress of domestic military industries. Israeli military weapons have been selected along with other contributing factors that, while providing the basic principles of the Israeli military idea- qualitative superiority and deterrence- they serve for a quick and short-term battle, because Israel has no power for a long-term war due to a small population and a relatively limited economic power. The principle of "preventive attack", which is wholly compatible with the principle of "short-term warfare", actually gives Israel the opportunity to fully seize the geostrategic feature of "moving on the inner lines". Israel, with its geographic location neighboring Syria and Lebanon from the north, and neighboring Jordan on east and Egypt on the south, is able to focus its forces on different fronts faster than its enemies. The principles which form Israel's military thought, after the 1956 war founded the ultimate goal of Israel which is the use of military offensive to achieve political ends.
Second. Reflection of military thought on combat tactics and militarism
In the light of the principles of military thought, basically the conventional weapons of this country were on bomber fighters and tanks. The air force is considered as the largest Israeli military in terms of its ability to attack the strategic depth of the Arab states and the paralysis of their air force, while air force fighters can provide opportunity for tanks with pre-emptive attacks to enter the battlefields, and in addition to cutting off the enemy's lines of communication, they can eliminate Arab defensive situations and create anxiety in front and logistics centers. The 1967 war was a complete example of this military tactic of Israel, but the conditions of the 1973 war somewhat reduced the absolute reliance on plane and tanks in the military idea of Israel and cooperation between tanks and ground forces became wider. Also, the quantitative and qualitative progress was made in the Israeli military industry in the field of anti-tank and anti-aircraft missiles and ground-based ballistic missiles. At the same time, the Israeli navy forces were transformed and were more capable to penetration depth of Arab countries' sea. This force is now fully capable of supporting Israeli naval ties in the Mediterranean and the Red Sea and coastal attacks in the Arab countries. Israel, since its establishment, has also started to build nuclear weapons secretly, so without the need for an external nuclear umbrella, it can gain absolute supremacy over Arab countries and to provide security in the worst cases and at all times.
Third: Signs of the current progress of Israeli military thinking
Within the Israeli military structure, it is now argued that military thinking will be upgraded to a level that is consistent with the military advancements of the regime and the countries of the region. Most of these discussions, of course, are kept secret completely. In this regard, Ishaq Mordecai, Israeli Defense Minister, stated on June 29, 1998 that within the Israeli military structure, there are now ongoing talks to modernize the military idea of Israel, and soon the outcome of these dialogues and talks will be presented to the government. The Hartz newspaper, which published this statement, wrote that Mordecai was courageous and in respond to General Malathene's (54 years old) statement that said Israel's military thought was in need of change and cannot provide Israel's defensive problems. It is noteworthy that Gen. Vilna, a candidate for the post of Chief of Staff of the Army, instead of General Amnon Leibken Shahak and rival of Gen. Shaul Mofaz to reach this position on July 9, 1998. The newspaper adds: "The Israeli army is on the verge of losing its power due to the aging of military thought and the exhaustion of its combat equipment". "The essence of the words of Vilna is not a new point, since the retired General" Israel Tal ", adviser to the defense minister and former commander of the Zarghopush unit, before and after the 1967 war and the commandership in the war played a significant role in the Egyptian front and revolutionized the methods of warfare, and followed by him, other experts such as General Ishaq bin Israel also said that we are at the age of rocket launchers and that Israel is being exposed to missile strikes by Arab and Islamic countries who do not have a common border with Israel, and therefore the development of military thought, which was formed by Ben Gurion Vigal Alon and his partners during the training of the Israeli Defense Forces, is necessary. Although the anthropology and balance of power in the region remained in the former form, the pioneers of the Israeli military thought were influenced by the wars of 1948 and the Second World War to formulate such thoughts. The newspaper adds: "For Israel, deterrence is still vital. In other words, it is still emphasized on air force and information, although the focus has been on the balance between different military forces, that is to say, the creation of a defense structure consisting of ballistic missiles, intermediate-range missiles, planes, advanced marine and ground systems along with Logistics equipment that maintain this defense capability. "
In other words, a new relationship has been identified in the balance between the various forces of the Israeli military rather than the current one, and more attention is on tank, armor, and carrier. The paper states that " in the changes made to the equations, there was more attention on " Attack against Defense "and" Artillery fire against maneuvers ". There is also especial attention to the fact that there is not enough dollars available to deploy American advanced weapons and there are plenty of budget deficits for the expansion and strengthening of Israeli weapons. The government, the Secretary of Defense and the head of the Joint Chiefs are responsible for making decisions that determine the priorities for the transformation of the armed forces. "This newspaper is intended to explain the responsibility of the Israeli government based on the point that Prime Minister, Isaac Mordecai, and Prime Minister, Netanyahu, should pay attention to the implementation of these developments and he said: "They can take a peace policy that pulls opposition governments out of the camp, and then using the opportunity, chances to boost Israeli defense capabilities will be increased. The same newspaper published in the same day in another article titled "New Defensive Plan is seeing Light", which stated that the Israeli military commanders have finished first step of a general mapping of the defensive strategy of the Hebrew government, that is the military thought which was set up since January 1998, at a series of secret negotiations organized by David Afri, First Deputy Minister of Defense in the Emirate of Abal in Israel's center. At the end of the first phase of the talks, a document has been prepared that sets out the proposed models for Israel's defense strategy, and Isaac Mordecai has recently agreed to it. Based on this document, there are five working groups; two groups to discuss international geopolitics such as the end of the Cold War and Middle East problems and the other three groups to discuss Israeli internal issues, such as the armed forces and the Israeli economic and social developments. In continue of the issues, David Afri, the first deputy of defense minister declared: "From the beginning of this decade, there have been profound changes, such as the end of the Cold War, the Persian Gulf War, land-based assault on Israel and Middle East peace operations". Not only the changes modernized Israel's defense strategy, but they have changed structure of such a strategy. "On July 5, 1998, the Jerusalem Post wrote," general Israeli Tal at one of the Consultative Conference said:" Israel must use its power to attack its enemies, as well as to select a preventive attack and use it. " . It is worth mentioning that the Israeli general has raised the concept of combat with the force of all tanks, which takes into account the independent role of tanks, in contemporary military tactics. From November 1, 1964, he had commandership of the armored forces and he was appointed to commander of the Israeli military after the 1967 war. The newspaper added that Tal stated at the same conference that the allocation of state budget funds for the construction of "Aru" defensive missiles to create a large shield against anti-ballistic missiles of the enemy is not consistent with the defense needs of the country. Jerusalem Post, quoted Tal, and writes: "One of the issues that has made me concerned is that the country's political decision-makers fully believe that defense is more powerful than an attack. This is a dangerous belief. Arabs can tolerate their defensive status, but we cannot, because we do not have enough reserve forces for this purpose". He referred to the importance of the transformation of Israeli tanks " Mirkawa" and said: " only reliance on air force in future wars is a dangerous point. In the 1973 war, the air force relatively failed in the seventh day of the war, while the tanks were able to penetrate the Egyptian forces. "In the last week of 1998, a workshop made of 15 generals was conducted to examine the results of the 31membered consultation Commission for three days and several decisions were made regarding the transformation of the security thinking and the structure of the Israeli military to enter the twenty-first century.
