Moderation in government

From the speeches of Imam Ali:

And you should love a work that is more moderate in the way of the right.
Moderation in all things is an essential base especially in leadership and management and on the right direction. It means that everything must be away from extremes and in the bounds of moderation: Making targets, planning, decision-making, organization, monitoring and control and everything else. This is why, Imam Ali has ordered Malek Ashtar that all his functions must be moderate: (and you should love a work that is more moderate in the way of the right.)
Every wise and learned and experienced man knows that the best way to manage the affairs of every area is moderation. Imam Ali, knows a clever and learned director and leader and successful politician as a man who manage and governance people based on moderation and never go towards extremes in his programs, practices, methods, motion and speed, and people don’t go toward extremism and rudeness; and works don’t go toward extremism and rudeness either and people don’t get catch tardiness and hopelessness: An understood and clever is a person who do not despair his people from forgiveness of God and his kindness and ease their mind from sudden punishments.
Management and government of wise men is based on moderation and it doesn’t mean that they can have extremism when they have a correct program and they are in the right direction. Such actions is competent for irrationals: Don’t you see ignorant, they are doing excess or negligence.
Movement of people, improve the programs in the right direction is commendable based on moderation. This is not possible, except regulating life and programs in the shadow of such movements. And programs and movement away from moderation, although the right are bad affairs that destruction is their result. Imam Ali while his speeches also said: Anyone who went to the middle road, his way will be praised and will be promised to save and anyone who went to the right and left sides, he will be blamed and he will be warned for destruction.
