BIOGRAPHY OF ONSEROL MAALI KEIKAVOOS

He was born in 1021. He was one of the scientist princes of ZIYARI family. After father`s death got a chance to sit on the throne. Of course, he was not like founder of dynasty. Not an independent ruler and had no passion to restore Iran to the grandeur of the ancient tire. His fame in Iran is not because of his peaceful soul and he was away from fight and bleeding. But main reason for his fame is writing the famous book of QABUS NAME. In 1082, when he was 63 years old, he wrote the said book to educate his own son, GILAN SHAH. Book contains his life experiences in the moral principles. Professor Edward Brown who is a sociologist and writer says, QABUS NAME contains words of wisdom, a valuable past history about Iran and Islam, intellectual famous poets and great men from primary Islam time to the time of author. On the importance of values of QABUS NAME, it is sufficient to say some great poets and authors like GHAZNAVI, OUFI and NEZAMI used some of its stories. On the other hand, present scientists also praised it and said: The book represents ethics, customs and conditions in that time. It is remarkable that a prominent scholar and poet like BAHAR believes that AMIR, made a great work.
In addition, this collection is a great example of the best Persian prose composition.
AMIR VALID advises his son to avoid associating with improper people. And then continuous to praise God and holy prophet, recognizing the right of father and mother, how rearing children, generalship and many other cases. Totally, the said one has 44 chapters. Even though words are simple but we can observe how cunningly he reaches to his results. So we can assume that he was expert in simplicity and subtlety.
His words are so useful that we can get use of his advises even today.

Oh boy, even though you are young but act like experienced fellow.
Sometimes people fall in shame, but don’t be ashamed so much that the sin pushes you to guilt.
When enemy dies, don’t feel happy. Remember that you will die too.
Even though you are young, but don’t forget God.
Don’t trust death, because when death comes, does not recognizes young or old.
Pay more attention to poor neighbor, this work brings mercy of God.
Anyway, in the end, we can finally say, AMIR showed his vast knowledge in QABOUS NAME. He is really eligible to be called as great adviser.
