This American network has ignored Persepolis, Ālī Qāpū and golestan palace in its report and has attended to 5 historical attractions of our country that may be less known by foreign tourists.
The name of this old castle which is hidden in mass and wet forests located in north of guilan is rudkhan and dates back to pre-Islamic Iran. While the location of this area is popular among Iranians, foreign tourists are less aware of it. Some experts considered this castle is built in the Sasanian period when Arab attacked to Iran. The castle was rebuilt in the Seljuk period.
It takes more than one hour to walk along uphill path of Forest which is located between two verdurous knaps to reach the castle. So natives calls Rudkhan as “the castle with 1000 stairs”. After visiting the monument and Coming down, you can enjoy Iranian food such as "sour roast" in Restaurants found in fuman roads.
The length of castle is 1500 meters and there are 60 forts in it. The castle is situated at an altitude of about 700 meters above sea level along the river with same name.
There is a 400-year inn in Isfahan dates back to safavid period which had been host of travelers with it’s numerous rooms in Qajar period too.
Now, bekhradi building is as the oldest residence in the reconstruction of Iran. Colorful glass windows remained from Safavid period and Qajar period, with furniture made of sycamore wood
The hotel is located amidst gardens full of fruit and wild flowers and is under renovation by “Morteza bekhradi” interior designer and expert restoration. The designer says that the house was owned by the astronomer from the Safavid period and even the doors of the main building which open to the top floor rooms, are original wooden and heavy doors which have been renovated with sycamore wood. This hotel is not well known even among Esfahanian and its reputation word of mouth is rotated.
In the northwestern province of Zanjan, one of the tourist attractions of Iran which registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site is located. Oljayto’s tomb in Soltanieh is one of the largest domes in the world. The dome is located on the eighth patriarch's grave in Soltanieh, the capital of Ilkhanid rule, between 1302 and 1312 AD.
