These days there is bad news about the destruction of nature. Some would only hear it and let it go but there are a few nature wonderers who already know what’s happening to nature.
They carefully see what’s going on and try to describe it to others; giving examples that attests what they mean: the almost dry salt-water lake in Orumieh, sweltering land of Khash or the mud volcanoes of Pir Gel where mud erupts out of the ground.
Although the last example is a beautiful and harmless phenomenon, unlike what’s happened to the Orumieh lake, but they might be true about the irritable nature’s eruption.
In this region, with every tide, the land storms and cold mud ejects out.

The volcano is located about 90 km south of Khsh surrounded by the Taftan mountains in the province of Sistan and Baluchestan. The must-see sight encompasses an area of 3 hectares covered in clay void of any vegetation. However, birds like Hubare and animals such as sheep and goats are seen there. Several-layered conical structures , sometimes symmetrical and non-symmetrical, are formed as a result of mud eruptions, creating wonderful scenery which deserves some photos. An interesting thing to know is that mud volcanoes grow old; their eruptions quantity decreases over time, reaching once in several days and fading away.
The erosion sometimes leads to the entire destruction of the volcanoes, leaving no trace behind. The locals have different opinions about them and put names on them based on their beliefs. According to them, they are natural phenomena which relate to the sea; when the water level rises , especially in summer, they get most active. Therefore, they are called the earth’s navel or the sea’s navel. Some believe that their activity depends on the gravity of celestial bodies especially the moon. They say when there is new moon or full moon , they erupt quite often.
Natural mud volcanoes resemble conical hills and act like volcanoes except that instead of lava mud comes out of their mouths. The phenomenon primarily takes place in the flat fields and plains near the sea (a maximum of 15 to 20 km away). The conical hills ( symmetrical or non-symmetrical) might reach a height range of 30 to 50 meters.
The cones are sometimes isolated and occasionally have small and subsidiary cones around.
Some of Iran’s mud volcanoes are dormant and completely non-active but there are some active ones erupting periodically. In rain seasons , they are more active but their mud is more diluted and flows lightly down. In dry seasons, in contrast, they are less active and the more concentrated mud erupts with a loud explosion.
