Watching the nature in Binalud , in a village with limestone mountains
Near the village of Akhlamad , 17 km southwest of the city of Chenaran , lie a valley along with a tall waterfall which offer a landscape of lush trees and rocky walls. The natural resort is a draw for many visitors and sightseers all year round.
The valley is not very wide and broad and as a result there is dense vegetation , which make the region pleasant and delicate.
The valley features many gardens which attract tourist families and visitors especially in spring and summer.
In the end of the gardens where the valley ends lies a magnificent tall waterfall which flows down the high mountains. A lot of visitors on the way to the cities around turn and visit the area to see the lovely waterfall before they continue their journey.
Akhlamad features several seasonal and permeant waterfalls which double its beauty , the seasonal ones flow only when there is enough rain.
One small permanent waterfall is situated about 2 km from the village of Aklamad. The 23-meter-high waterfall lies in the heart of Binalud mountains.
It’s quite nice and mild in the region. No sign of severe heat or extreme cold whatsoever. And that’s why sightseers and nature lovers visit the pace throughout the year.
Near the fall , there is another one , a little higher, about 45 meters high. Both waterfalls offer outstanding landscapes . The area between them is known as Takht-e Shah Abbas. After the second waterfall , you’ll see a river running through the narrow path between the high and flat mountains around. It joins the river of Akhlamad after flowing through a beautiful valley.
This is the place where local people call it Mud houses.
The limestones of the mountains have created deep circular holes below the waterfall which is quite fascinating. Down the waterfall lie several clear and abundant pools whose depths are not clear. So remember not to jump into waters since it’s dangerous.
In addition to the natural highlights of waterfalls , valley and high-rise mountains , Akhlamad also features a historic dam.
