Sofeh is the mountain in the south end of Isfahan’s geography. Within it lies a spring called Khachik. It is said that Khachik is the name of an Armenian who used to have a kiosk nearby the spring on the slope of the mountain where he sold groceries to mountain climbers before the revolution in 1357.
The municipality of Isfahan has been expanding the green space on the slope of the mountain for several years now. It is considered among the most popular tourist attractions in Isfahan and it hosts a large crowd of nature lovers and especially the youth on Friday mornings. It offers a spectacular view of the city of Isfahan on the slope and over the mountain.
