Barajin , a region in north of Ghazvin, starts at the beginning of Ghazvin-Zanjan highway and stretches up to the central slopes of Alborz. It has long been a resort to the citizens. Located in the heights , it’s cooler than Ghazvin . Here you can see Barajin’s towers and enjoy the beauty of Arzank river flowing down the heights.Niaq stone Ivan
In the village of Niaq , a district in Gahzvin, lies a rather high rock with large cavities inside formed due to natural factors. Inside some of them , tiny rectangular pools have been dug by locals which are filled with water when it rains . Local residents believe that Mohammad Hanafiyyah built a palace over the Ivan. Ismailis. It lies on top of a wide and flat mountain which contains a frightening precipice. It is 150 meters steep from north to south and includes rooms, buildings and rectangular underground reservoirs. Its water comes from the river of Nine Rud and through a water route dug in the heart of the rock. In the Ismaili era, this was the most important castle after Alamut castle .

Alamut is among the unique castles in Iran. Locals know it as Hassan castle. It is made up of two west and east parts; the east is taller and known as Ghale Bala ( large castle) . The length of its wall measures 120 meters with a width of 10 to 35 meters in different areas . The only way to enter is located in the northeast side , a few meters below the east tower of the castle. Here , there is a tunnel carved in rocks , about 6 meters long. On the south slope, there is a ditch , 50 meters long and 2 meters wide, which was filled in water to avoid the attackers. You might also want to see Gazar castle with its underground reservoirs nearby.Ovan lake
If you decide to pack and visit the lake , remember to bring along a camera. There are exceptional and awesome landscapes you would like to see them over and over again. The beautiful lake lies between the villages of Ovan, Varbon, Zavar Dasht, and Zarabad in the city of Qazvin. Encompassing an area of over 70,000 square meters it is located 1,800meters above sea level. In summer it offers opportunities for fishing, bathing, paddling, and boating. In autumn, it is a haven for migratory birds such as geese, swan, and duckling. In winter , you can ski on the icy surface of the lake as it freezes in extreme cold and . It was perhaps formed as a result of a landslide some 500 years ago.Cheshme Aela, Tar lake , and Hoyer
The mineral spring of Cheshme Aela is located 51 km on Teharn- Abali road. Locals call it Cheshme Aela as the high-quality water erupts out of the ground ( Aela means excellent and Cheshme means spring). On Damavand- Firoozkuh road, near the village of Harandeh , lies an interesting cave which is a destination for many mountain climbers and nature enthusiasts. From Harandeh to the cave there is almost a two-hour walk. The locals go there often in summertime as it is very cool inside. Also tourists pitch tents near the cave . it is quite a fascinating and delightful place.
