An excellent masterpiece of nature, the village lies 10 km south of the city of Osku, where the river and mountain meet. Called Gun Bar among the villagers and the villages nearby, the name of one of the loveliest villages in East Azerbaijan means sun drawer or sun absorber.
Thanks to the seasonal river of Sail Chai, the village, lying on the slope of Sahand Mountain, enjoys natural water which has brought it a pristine nature and paved a way for the villagers to grow and burgeon.
Mohammadi flowers, with their heavenly flavour and extract, are considered a symbol indicating the identity of the village. The divine blessing is a source for making money among the villagers.
Hand-woven carpets are another product they create to make ends meet.
With a population of 4,000, it is among the most highly-populous villages in East Azerbaijan. According to local officials, the plans for turning the village into a town are ongoing.
