Peigham Valley

The valley is located in East Azerbaijan province on the geographical location of E47°03" and E4703. The broad valley is spread from north of Kaleibar to its south and is home to the river of Peigham. The historic castle of Peigham is also perched on the edge of the valley.
The valley is widely visited in summertime.
Easy access, green fields, and extensive pastures as well as fruit trees are all prominent highlights of the charming and pleasant valley.
There are a couple of other valleys in mountainous areas of the province which are a draw for travellers especially in summer. Among them are Yekan, northwest of Marand, Zonooz, northeast of Marand, Jushun, and west of Varzaghan, which offer exceptional touristic features each.
All over Kaleibar is covered in mountains and luxuriant, dense forests. Peigham Valley and the protected areas of Kaleibar as well as historic landmarks namely Babak Castle, Peigham Castle, mausoleums, old castles, towers, bridges, ancient hills, old monuments like Tumaniyans historical building are among the spectacular highlights of the place.
Kaleibar, one of the cities of East Azerbaijan province, is located in the northeast of the province. Its neighbors are Ahar from south, Azerbaijan Republic on north, and Ardebil province from east.
It lies in a rocky land with a river and is the only mountainous passage between What and the shores of Aras River.
It enjoys a fairly cold and half-dry climate.
It is located east longitude of 47°02" and north latitude of 38° and 52", at an altitude of 1,240 m.
The roads which run through the center of the city are, Kaleibar-Moghan roadway, or Aslanduz, and Khomarlu towards northeast which is a gravel road up to Eskanlu, 60 km long, and up to Khomarlu, 71 km long.
