Ayyub Ansari Mausoleum is located 13 km south of the city of Takab, in the West Azerbaijan Province and southwest of Ghariyeh Dure Bash over a high mountain.
This is the only site left from the structures over the mountain. Inside the Ghariyeh there is a place resembling a tiny room which according to the locals the head of Ayyub Ansari is buried there and as result it is dealt with respect and sanctity.
The current building consists of 2 parts, the main and old part which belongs to the original building of the Mausoleum and the attached part is made up of a corridor and pray house, or mosque.
 Ayyub Ansari Mausoleum
Regarding the type of the materials and architecture it seems that the main building of the mausoleum and other remains including surrounding walls as well as the rest of the ruined remains with cylindrical structures are highly old and date from before the 9th century AH but the attached one belongs to the mid-9th century AH.
To determine the history of the formation of the architectural units on top of the mountain the experts should carry out some study and examinations. The old part is built in an oval infrastructure in the inside and the irregular octagonal infrastructure on the outside, with a height of 7.5 m, finds it way into the pray house with a small door.
To build it, rubble stones, limestone, and white soil were used and the restoration and protection operations were taken place in the spot by the management of the Cultural Heritage Organization in 1372.
The reason why it is called Dure Bash:
Dure Bash means " head! stay upright." in Azeri. The villagers believed that Ayyub Ansari was beheaded and his head was then rolled down from top of the mountain towards the current place of Ghariyeh, literally a village. After that the headless body of him stands up and orders: Dure Bash meaning "oh head! Stand up!"
