Agh Gul where hunting and shooting is banned, extends north to the village of Ghoos on the border of Iran and Turkey, West to the border checkpoint of Dim Gheshlagh towards south along the border limits between Iran and Turkey up to the village of Yarim Gheiid Oliya Vosta and Sofla, south to the village of Ghariyeh Yarim Ghobbeh Sofla along the road where cars can pass towards east and finally east to the village of Ghariyeh Shur Eblagh Bala along the road towards north.
Regarding its natural conditions, it has long been the habitat for diverse species of the wildlife and in the last couple of years they have highly been decreasing. However, thanks to the proper vegetation and great biological conditions of the place, 90 wild sheep and rams have been taken from Kabudan Island and dispersed all over the place to restore the wild animals and reinstate the habitats
Investments are taking place to expand residential areas, shopping centers, hydrotherapy centers, multipurpose sports clubs, and recreational facilities in the region. The natural mineral spas are also located in Agh Gul, in the city of Khoy.
The gassy calcerous waters of the springs are not drinkable as a result of extreme salt. The waters get into the river of Agh Gul Chailey and create spectacular scenery of lime deposits on the side of the road.
