1 cup onions, finely chopped
1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, finely chopped
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon powdered black pepper
500 g fish fillets, ground
1 tablespoon hot chili sauce
White of 1 large egg
Oil spray
8 pieces of toast bread
Directions:
In a large bowl, mix ground fish with basil leaves, chopped onion, and sprinkle with salt and black pepper. In a small bowl, beat the white with hot chili sauce. Add into the large bowl and mix well. Divide the mixture into 4 equal parts and make each a round patty, 1 1/2 cm thick.
Heat a non-stick frying pan over the stove and set on medium heat. Place the patties inside and spray with oil on top. It takes about 3 minutes to fry each part. Lay the fish burgers inside 2 toast pieces and serve.
