It is not troublesome to make panned kebabs and does n't take much of your time to prepare; but you can't believe how quick you can do it in a microwave oven!
Although the taste and look is totally different from ordinary kebabs prepared in the frying pan, it is always well worth trying anew way of cooking, Is n't it?
Only 10 minutes will do. The preparation and cooking time will be 25 minutes altogether.
Ingredients:
500 g ground mutton1 samll onion
1 clove garlic
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 cup dried toast or baguette
1 egg
1 teaspoon dried thyme
2 teaspoons parsley leaves, chopped
1 medium tomato
Salt and powdered black pepper for seasoning
a couple of green onions, chopped
3 tablespoons vegetable liquid oil
directions:
In a large glass bowl, put the ground meat and grate the onion. Add in chopped garlic as well.Cut the tomato into tiny cubes. Place all the chopped vegetables in the bowl and start kneading with your palm till well-mixed. Take a piece off the mixture and shape into a ball of your desired size. You can make 7 kebabs out of the mixture this way.
Take a proper-sized dish and grease with drops of oil. Arrange the discs (round kebabs) at the bottom and place inside the microwave without a lid on. Set microwave at high power level and adjust 10 minutes of time. If they are not well-done in this period, you can add a few minutes.
Serve hot with bread. Drizzle tomato sauce over them and scatter chopped parsley and green onions on top. Bon Appetit!
