Ingredients:

500 g boneless mutton
150 g split peas
100 g liquid oil
200 g dried plums
100 g onions
1 teaspoon tomato paste
3 dried limes
1 teaspoon turmeric
1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
Salt and powdered black pepper for seasoning

Directions:

Chop up the onions and fry them in a pot till golden in color. Add in stewing meat and saute a bit. Add in tomato paste, and sprinkle with cinnamon, turmeric, salt and black pepper and keep sauteing.
Wash the split peas and add in as well. Pour 3 glasses of water inside the dish and allow the stew to cook through.
When the contents are almost cooked, add in dried limes (seeded and diced), followed by the plums soaked in hot water. Allow 30 miuntes till the stew is settled. Transfer to a serving dish and like other stew cuisines serve with rice. Bon Appetit!
