Introduction
What is the nature of the State of Israel? When and how did Zionist movement arise? What does Palestinian Intifada mean? Who are Palestinian militant groups and what are their goals? Does our intervention in the internal conflict in favor or against each one is permissible? Is not inconsistent with our national interests?
This article aims at answering the questions above so that in the light of the answer our religious duty as Muslim people Iran and the Islamic Republic of Iran, which is part of the Islamic Ummah, and our national duty to protect our national interests will be known. Finally, the question is answered that whether we as a human being on this planet, regardless of national or Islamic duty, what obligation do we have in challenge of the Israel with people and the Palestinian resistance movement? First of all it is necessary to pay attention to an overview of the history of Jerusalem:
History of Jerusalem
Nearly five thousand years ago, a group of "Jebusi" migrated from the Arabian Peninsula to Palestine along with the Canaanite tribes and by the leadership of Malik Sadiq founded a city called "Jebusi" in a corner of the country. The man ruling the people was a peace-loving and hardworking person for development and prosperity of the territory. For this reason, the people of the city changed the name of the area to "Aursalm"- healthy and peace-loving.
"Aursalm" which is called (Jerusalem) in Hebrew, was attacked and besieged seventeen times and was razed several times, and its people were killed. The city was in the hands of the Jebusites (Canaanites, who came from the Arabian Peninsula and were main founders of it) for fifteen centuries, then it was in the hands of the children of Israel for four centuries, and then, it was in the hands of the Persians for several centuries and in the hands of the Greeks and Parthian for two centuries and it was in the hands of Romans for four centuries. But in all this time, the indigenous people, the Canaanites and the Jebusites, were still the inhabitants of it and lived in it.
Thus, it becomes clear that Jerusalem was built by the Arab Jebusites and Canaanites, and the building of it does not have the slightest connection to the Jewish people. Treaty between Muslims and people of that city also shows that most residents of it were the Jebusites and Canaanites, who had converted to Christians, and the Jews, who were established there by occupation, were not recognized as official residents and citizens of Jerusalem. Holy Quran (Mubarak) has called it the blessed. The place of prophet of Islam (peace be upon him)'s spiritual ascension and journey from the sacred mosque to the Al-Aqsa Mosque, which occurred overnight and ten years after his mission, is called "Israa" 'and his journey to the kingdom of the heavens is called " Ascension ". Hence, the Al-Aqsa Mosque was destination airport for Isra and the source airport for Mi'raj of Prophet Muhammad, and in all the years before the migration, as well as up to 17 months after the Hijra, it was the Muslims' Qiblah for prayer so that by the Jews blaming Muslims, God answered the prayers of his beloved servant and turned Qibla of Muslims to the holy mosque. After a peaceful conquest of Jerusalem by Muslims, the city was renamed to "Jerusalem" and it became the third-Haram al-Sharif. At the time of the conquest of Jerusalem, there were no Jews in the city because Christians were forbidden from entering it, and on the other hand, Christians had a condition for Muslims that they will stop arrival of Jews to Jerusalem.
Palestine was attacked and looted by the Europeans in two periods of the Crusades. First Crusade occurred in 1099 AD under the pretext of giving up the holy shrines of Christ (Peace be upon him) from the Muslims and they had the army of 150 thousand while the Christians installed sign of the cross on their chests and shoulders, and they captured Jerusalem and slaughtered 70 thousands of men, women and children. Salahuddin Ayubi retook it in 1187 AD. By Europeans' campaign in 1248, they captured Jerusalem as a result of this crusader and signing a contract with the reigning king, but soon again in 1224, the Muslims released Jerusalem from the domination and occupation of West and allowed its inhabitants to live alongside Muslims by freedom and in peace. From 1517 to the rise of the Zionist movement, Jerusalem was controlled by the Ottoman Empire. Therefore, from year 15 AD to 1337 AD (1917) except for a century, Jerusalem was in the hands of Muslims, and followers of different religions enjoyed full religious freedom and could traffic in the city.
Zionist movement
In the early sixties of the nineteenth century, some Jewish thinkers began their invitation to attempt to return to Palestine and the construction activities. Hirsch Kalyshr, Jewish Rabbi, was the first one who started the invitation in book "looking for Zion" in 1861. Several other Jewish intellectuals also wrote some books about it, which created backgrounds for more Jewish immigration and formation of Zionist state in minds of people.
Among Jewish thinkers, the two species of ideas and thoughts can be observed. Some of them have religious spirit and have mostly raised the Jewish mystical aspect of Judaism and their great desire was rise of their prophet. Accordingly, when he emerges at the end, the reign of God will be realized for all humanity and all tribes and nations of the earth have made covenant, and all human beings will go to the territories, which Biblical has mentioned in story of Abraham and Moses in those locations. In the nineteenth century, the goal of "Lovers of Zion" was creating a spiritual center for spreading Jewish culture and ideas in the land of Zion. It is interesting that the religious Zionism, which was common only among a limited group, was never hostile to Muslims (who know themselves relatives of the seed of Abraham (Peace be upon him) and his religion followers). The spiritual Zionism was alien and away from any political plan to create a state or any kind of authority over Palestinian and never chose a behavior representing interest in the conflict between the Jewish communities and the Arabs (Muslim or Christian).
But political Zionism was formed in 1882by Theodor Herzl, Austrian Jewish journalist, with the doctrine of the Zionist state in Palestine. He developed this doctrine in his book by the name of Jewish state after the first World Zionist Congress in "Basel» Swiss and started to think about implementing the plan. Herzl unlike religious Zionists was absolutely skeptical toward God. His mind was mostly not religious, but political, and raised the problem of "Zionism" in a new way.
General principles of political thought of Herzl were:
1. Jews throughout the world, in every country collectively form a nation.
2. Jews cannot be integrated in nations whom they live with and they will not fade away in them.
3. Jews were persecuted and oppressed all the time and everywhere.
Of the first two principles, important feature of "racist" and of the last principle the "occupation and aggression" of Zionism emerged. Accordingly, solutions offered by Theodor Herzl deny and reject the integration of Jews in other nations and creation of not only a cultural center for the dissemination of the Jewish faith, but it is a Jewish state that all Jews in the world gather in there. Of course, it must be based on an empty place. This means that indigenous people should not be taken into account.
Herzl, founder of Zionism, proposed "Uganda" as a Jewish state center, but his proposal was opposed by Jewish Congress and he insisted that the Palestine, or at least the area near it that they can reach Palestine later, should be selected as the Jewish center. The result of racism and aggression nature of the political Zionist was denial of the existence of the Palestinian people. This principle was the root and source of all their next abuses.
Ms. Gold Mayer in The Sunday Times (June 15, 1969) declared: "There are no Palestinians. It is not like that to assume that there are Palestinian people in Palestine, and we have come to take them out and take their country. They do not exist at all! "
Professor Bnzyun Diener, the first Minister of National Education and a close friend of David Ben Gurion, was the founder of the State of Israel, and in 1954, in the introduction of the book "history of Haganah" published by the World Zionist Organization, he wrote: "In our country there is no room for anyone but Jews; we will say to the Arabs: out. If they disagree or resist, we will drive them out. "
Political Zionism abuses the history of the Torah and continually claims territorial demand and the "divine right" of property over Palestine. In their view, everything is permitted to them. When they are "chosen people" of God and an absolute factor, they will know torture and ill-treatment, assassination, intimidation and arrests, forcible transfer and mass deportation, confiscation and destruction of property and mass murder ok to do. One example of such crimes was killings in "Deir Yassin" on April 9, 1948.
Mnakhyn Begin, who was the commander of the crime, wrote in his book entitled "uprising in the history of the Irgun": “without victory of Deir yassin, there would be no Israeli government too ..." Haganah have had triumphantly attacks on other fronts too; the terrified Arabs were fleeing, while shouting: Deir yassin. "
Ms. Gladmayr and Mnakhyn Begin say: "This land was promised to us, and we have got it due to our rights."
Moshe Dayan also says: "If we know the Torah, if we know us as the people of Torah, we must be dominant over lands of elders of Jerusalem, Hebron, Jericho and still elsewhere."
The concept and promises and tricks to fulfill it such as the term "chosen people" and "Greater Israel from the Nile to the Euphrates" are ideological basis of political Zionism. Colonizers in all times and for all peoples have always made excuses and self-justification for their domination and aggressions. Usually their pretext was "cultural superiority" that gave aggressive usurper a mission on behalf of his race granted to others and the use of religion was as a cover for the domination of one social group over another. The idea of "chosen people" historically and politically was crime raising because it has pretended aggressions, expansion seeking and domination to be holy. The idea of "chosen people" is not unacceptable religiously because wherever chosen people exist, they are rejected.
It is based on such thinking that Ben Gurion clearly said: "our issue is not maintaining the present status; it is our duty to create a dynamic government for more develops."
