Role of Imam Ali in the solution of problems of people

It has been said in the book '' Al-Roze Fi Al-Fazael'' that Ammar Yaser says '' we were in the presence of Amir Al-Momenin, Imam Ali (peace be upon him), on Monday in the Safar nineteenth. Suddenly a loud voice was heard. Imam Ali (peace be upon him) that had sat in Dakke Al-Ghaza'' looked at me and said
يا عمّار ! ائتني بذي الفقار .
''O' Ammar! Bring me my sword '' Zolfaqar''.
The weight of Zolfaqar was seven man mad two third man.
I prepared the sword of Imam Ali (peace be upon him). He took it out of his sabbard, laid it on his knees and said
يا عمّار ! هذا يوم أكشف فيه لأهل الكوفة جميعاً الغمّة ليزداد المؤمن وفاقاً والمخالف نفاقاً .
'' O' Ammar! Today I help the people of Kufa to get rid of grief and sadness and increase friendship among the believers and discord among the opponents''.
Then he said '' let the person waiting behind the door enter''.
Ammar says '' I went out and saw a woman that was in the camel crying and shouting
'' O' the helper of misery persons! O' the destination of searchers! O' the treasure of desires! O' the owner of permanent power! O' savor of the capturers! O' helpers of old people! O' feeder of children! O' old person that passes over other old persons! O' the companion of alone persons! O' the shelter of vagabonds! O' the savings of the poor! O' the savors of distressed persons! O' the helper of the poor! O' the treasure of the poor! I come and resort to you. Therefore, make me happy, solve my problem and remove grief and sadness from me''.
Ammar says '' thousand horse riders with swords in their hands had circled this woman. Some of them supported her and others were against him''.
I looked at them and said '' answer Amir Al-Momenin (peace be upon him), the owner of science and knowledge''.
The woman came down the camel and other persons came down their horses and entered the mosque''.
The woman stood across from Amir Al-Momenin, Imam Ali (peace be upon him), and said '' O' Ali! I have come to you so that you solve my problem and remove my grief and sadness because you are perfectly aware of this affair and whatever has happened and will happen until the doomsday''. In such time, Amir Al-Momenin, Imam Ali (peace be upon him), said
'' O' Ammar! Go and tell the people of Kufa (to come to the mosque) and witness the judge of Amir Al-Momenin (peace be upon him)''.
Ammar says '' I shouted among the people of Kufa '' O' people! Whoever witnesses whatever God has granted to Imam Ali (peace be upon him), the brother of the messenger of God (peace of Allah be upon him and his descendants), attends the mosque''.
In such time, the people assaulted toward the mosque and the mosque became full of persons. Then Amir Momenan, Imam Ali (peace be upon him) said
''O' the group that you have come from Sham! Help me''.
In such time, an old man that had worn fur tuban stood up and said
'' O' the treasure of the poor! Peace be upon you. O' the shelter of homeless people! O' my master! This maid is my daughter. He has never got married, but now he has been pregnant. She has disgraced me. I am known as a brave, hardworking and wise man and I am Flis Bin Efris'' that is a furious lion and my animosity fire never extinguishes and no neighbors deals with me. My courage and wars are well known among Arab. At the present time, I am astonished and confused in my job. Solve my problem as Imam is the hope of the nation. This is a great problem that has never happened to me''.
Amir Al- Momenin, Imam Ali (peace be upon him), looked at the girl and said
''O' daughter! What do you think of whatever your father has expressed?''
She said '' the remark of my father '' I am a mistress'' is right, but he is not right about the matter that I am pregnant. I swear God that I have never betrayed. O' Amir Al-Momenin! Imam Ali (peace be upon him)! You are the successor of the messenger of God (peace of Allah be upon him and his descendants) and his inheritor. Nothing is hidden from you. You know that I never tell a lie. Hence, O' person that solves problems that make grief and sadness! Solve my problem''.
In such a time, Amir Al-Momenin, Imam Ali (peace be upon him) went over the pulpit, said takbir (God is great) and stated

«اللَّه اكبر» ، «اللَّه اكبر»
He recited this holy verse
«جاءَ الحَقُّ وَزَهَقَ الباطِلُ إنَّ الباطِلَ كانَ زَهُوقاً
'' Reality appeared and falsity vanished. In fact, falsity should be abolished''.
Then he stated '' This rule has been left to me. Then he summoned the midwife of Kufa''.
A woman named '' Khula'' was the midwife of the woman of Kufa. Hazrat Ali said to him '' put a certain between you and the people and see whether the woman is pregnant or not''.
The midwife obeyed the order of Hazrat Ali (peace be upon him). Then she came out and said '' he is a mistress and is pregnant now''.
Imam Ali (peace be upon him) looked at the people and said
يا أهل الكوفة ! أين الأئمّة الّذين ادّعوا منزلتي ؟ أين من يدّعي في نفسه أنّه له مقام الحقّ فيكشف هذه الغمّة ؟
'' O' the people of Kufa! Where are the heads that claim my rank? Where is the person that has a rank that tell the truths in order to solve problems.''
Uarv Bin Harith (may God curse him) said in a humorous way
'' O' Abi Taleb! Now this problem can be solved by you. Today, your Imamate can be proved for us!!''
Amir Momenan, Imam Ali (peace be upon him) looked at the father of daughter and said
'' O' angry father! Aren't you from Damascus?''
He answered '' yes''.
Imam Ali (peace be upon him) said '' aren't you from a village named '' Asar''?
Imam Ali (peace be upon him) asked '' are there any persons among you that bring a slice of ice for me?''
He said '' there is a lot of ice in our cities, but at the present time, we cannot supply it''.
Imam Ali (peace be upon him) asked '' is distance between our city and your city two hundred fifty leagues?''
He said '' yes, O' my master!'' Imam Ali (peace be upon him) said
أيّها الناس ! انظروا إلى ما أعطى اللَّه عليّاً من العلم النبويّ الّذي أودعه اللَّه ورسوله من العلم الربّاني .
'' O' people! Look what God has granted to Ali from prophecy science as God and his messenger have left the science of communion in him''.
Amar says '' Amir Al-Momenan, Imam Ali (peace be upon him), stretched his holy hand when he was over the pulpit of the mosque of Kufa and brought a cube of ice that was leaking. In such time, the people screamed and their shout filled all over the mosque. Imam Ali (peace be upon him) looked at the people and said
'' Calm down! If you want, I will prepare the mountain of ice''.
اسكتوا ! ولو شئت أتيت بجباله .
Then he said to the mid wife of Kufa '' take this cube of ice and leave the mosque along with the girl. Then put the pan under her and put the cube of ice near his womb. A leech whose weigh is fifty seven mesghal and two dangh will come out''.
The midwife took the cube of ice and left the mosque along with the girl. He brought the pan and acted as Imam Ali (peace be upon him) had ordered. Suddenly a large leech fell on the pan and weighed it as Imam Ali (peace be upon him) had told.
The midwife came to the mosque with his maid and put the leech on the earth in the front of Hazrat Ali. Hazrat Ali (peace be upon him) said
'' Did you weigh it?''
Amir Al-Momenin, Imam Ali (peace be upon him), said '' yes and he recited this verse
وَإنْ كانَ مِثْقالَ حَبَّةٍ مِنْ خَرْدَلٍ أَتَيْنا بِها وَكفى بِنا حاسِبينَ
'' If there are good and bad actions in size of mustard, we will remember it and it is enough to be a calculator''.

Amir Al-Momenin (peace be upon him) said '' O' Aba Al-Ghazab! The girl has not committed adultery. The problem is that she entered the water in a place and this leech entered her womb. Since then this leech was in her womb and grew up there''.
In such time, the father of the daughter stood up and said '' I attest that you know what there is in wombs and are aware of minds''.
Ammar Yaser says '' I was with Amir Al-Momenin, Imam Ali (peace be upon him). When we were passing by Nokhayele that is located two milestones after Kufa. Suddenly fifty Jewish men left Nokhayele and said '' Are you Imam, Ali Bin Abi Taleb''?
Hazrat Ali (peace be upon him) said '' yes, I am''.
They said '' it has been said in our books that there is a rock that the names of six prophets have been written on. Now we are looking for that stone, but we cannot find it. If you are Imam, find it for us''.
Hazrat Ali (peace be upon him) said '' follow me''.
Ammar says '' they followed him until they arrived a desert. Suddenly they found a large mountain full of sands there. Imam Ali (peace be upon him) said
O' the wind! Remove the sands on the stone''. '
After a short time, it started blowing and removed the sands and a stone appeared. Hazrat Ali (peace be upon him) said '' this is your stone''.
They said '' what we have heard and read in our books is that the names of six prophets have been written on the stone, but we cannot see their names''.
Imam Ali (peace be upon him) said '' go away''.
Then Imam Ali stretched out his sacred hand toward the stone as he was on his horse. Then the names of six prophets were seen on it. The prophets included: Adam, Nuh, Ibrahim, Musa, Isa, and Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon them).
In such a situation, the Jewish men believed in the sacred hand of Hazrat Ali and said '' we attest that there are no worshipers except God and Muhammad is the messenger of God and you are the leader of the Muslims, the master of Successors and the sign of God on the earth''.
Whoever knows you has achieved to bliss and will be saved and whoever disagrees with you will go awry and will be sent to the hell. Your virtues are infinite and the effects of your blessings are infinite as well''.
