The role of Imam Ali in God recognition

Ibn Mosayeb narrates that Umar Bin Khatab said '' I resort to God if Abu Al-Hasan cannot solve problems''. He said such a remark because the king of Rome wrote a letter to Umar and asked some questions about some matters. Umar expressed the questions to the companions, but no one could answer them. Then he expressed them to Amir Al-Momenin and Hazrat Ali (peace be upon him) answered them right away.
The letter of the king of Rome to Umar was in such a way'' this is a letter from the king of Bani Al-Safar. After I thank God, I ask you some questions; please answer them.
1. What hasn't God created?
2. What God does not know?
3. What is not in God?
4. What is in the mouth?
5. What is in the foot?
6. What is in the eye?
7. What is in the wing?

8. Which man does not have last name?
9. Name four locomotors that have been in the stomach of their mothers?
10. Who breathes, but has no soul?
11. What is Naghus?
12. What walker has walked only once?
13. What is the name of the tree in the world that a person can walk along its shadow for a hundred years and never arrives its ending?
14. Where hasn't the sun shined except once?
15. What tree grows without water?
16. Name some persons in the world that eat and drink and do not ward off like persons entering the heaven.
17. Name a food table in the world that is like the food tables of the heaven that have various foods in different bowls, but they do not combine with each other?
18. From what apple will a girl be born whereas nothing decreases from the apple?
19. What maid is for two men in the world and for one person in the doomsday?
20. What are the keys of the heaven?
Amir Al-Momenin(peace be upon him) read the letter of the king of Rome and answered it in this way
In the name of God the Merciful and the Compassionate – After I thank and extol God, O' the king of Rome! I am aware of your plan. I will answer you with the help of God, his power and the blessings of God and favor of our prophet, Muhammad.
1. What God has not created is Quran because it includes the attributes of God and the books that have been descended by God are about pure God and their description from God is old.
2. What God does not know is what the people of Nasrani say '' God has a wife, children and a partner. God does not have any children and he is single God. He has not been born or no children are from him.
3. What is with God is not tyranny and God does not tyrannize his persons.
4. Whatever is in the mouth is fire and eats everything.
5. Whatever is foot is water.
6. Whatever is eye is the sun.
7. Whatever is wing is wind.
8. The person that does not have a family name is Adam.
9. Four movers that were not in the stomach of their mother include: the stick of Musa, the ram of Hazrat Ibrahim, Adam and Hava.
10. What is without soul and breathes is the moring.
11. The bell says '' clack, clack! Truth, truth! Fairness, fairness! The world has cheated us and has tempted us. The world passes from an era to another era and a day does not elapse if it does not weaken us. The dead informs us that we will migrate from this world. Therefore, we have considered here as our country.

12. The walker that walked once is Sina Mountain. It took few days to walk between the mountain and the holy land (mosque and Al-Aqsa). Bani Isravil that wanted to travel there according to the order of Hazrat Musa (peace be upon him) disobeyed. God cut a part of the mountain and laid two wings of light. It became a canopy for Bani Israeil that were marching in the desert. As God has stated in Quran '' when we cut the mountain, we considered it as shade over their heads'' (Araf/ 171). Hazrat Musa said to Bani Israeil '' why do you disobey? Stop disobeying; otherwise, I will have it fall on you. After they repented, it came back to its first place.
13. The tree that hundreds walkers walk along its shadow and never ends is Tuba Tree and it is Sareh Al-Montaha in the seventh sky. The deeds of human are in the other side of the tree. It is one of heaven trees and it has no palaces and houses in the heaven except its hung branches like the sun in the world and its beams.
14. The place that the sun shined only once was the sea that Bani Israeli passed and Freon and his companions drowned. In such a time, God crusted the sea for Musa and the water became like the mountain and the sea became dry with the shining of the sun. Then the water of the sea came back to his first place.
15. A tree that grows without water is the tree of Hazrat Yunes. It was a miracle that exalted God stated '' we have grown the tree of pumpkin on it ( Al-Safaat/ v 164)
16. The people of the heaven that eat without warding off are like a child in the stomach of the mother that eats from his or her bellybutton and does not ward off.
17. Various foods of the heaven in a bowl without mix are like an egg in the world whose yolk and white never mix with each other.
18. The girl that comes out the apple of the heaven is like worm that comes out of the apple but it does not change.
19. The maid that is for two persons in the world and for a man in the doomsday is like the tree of date. In the world, the Muslisms as well as the polytheists can eat, but in the doomsday, it is for me, but not for you because the tree of date is found in the heaven, but you cannot enter the heaven.
20. The keys of the heaven are
لا اله الا الله و محمّد رسول الله
Ibn Mosib said'' when the king of Rome read the questions, he said '' this remark is only from the dynasty of the prophet. The he asked '' who knows the answer of these questions?''
They said '' the cousin of Hazrat Muhammad can answer them''.
Amir Al-Momenin(peace be upon him) answered Gheisar in this way
''After I thank and extol God, soul is a soft point and an honorable point that represent the structures and the power his creator. He has extracted it from the treasures of his realm and has laid it in the nature of his creatures. Therefore, your soul is a relationship with God and it is the trust of God in your nature. You get it from God and God takes it back.
Hazrat Ali (peace be upon him) stated '' ask whatever questions you have before you lose me''.
The first person that had a question stood up from the corner of the mosque and asked
'' How far is from the place that I have stood to the throne of God?''
Amir Al-Momenin(peace be upon him) said '' first, distance a throne to another throne is not a place distance in order to tell you how far it is. If a Muslim says sincerely '' There are no Gods except single God'' and utters this word of monotheism, he or she has passed distance between carpet and throne and has sewed carpet and throne together''.
Then he added '' if you want to search the throne of God, you should know that the heart of a Muslim is the throne of merciful God''.
The first person that had a question received his answer and sat.
Another person that had a question stood up from the other corner of the mosque and asked
''O' Ali! Tell me what affairs are necessary and what affairs are more necessary?
What affairs are unusual and what affairs are more unusual?
What affairs are problematic and what affairs are more problematic?''
Amir Al-Momenin (peace be upon him) answered
''Giving up doing sins is necessary and repenting from doing sins are more necessary.
A strange thing is that the world is transient and what is stranger is that we rely on such a world.

What is problem is that we are buried in a grave and what is more problematic that we are buried under a grave without any good deeds''.
The second person that had asked the question received his answer and sat.
The third person that wanted to ask a question stood up from another corner of the mosque
'' O' Ali! Tell me how I can understand that God has accepted my prayers, has forgiven my sins, has not accepted my prayers and has not forgiven my sins and they are recorded in a deed file''.
Amir Al-Momenin stated
'' if you do a worship and then God gives you the honor of doing the second worship, the second worship is a reason that God has accepted your first worship. Because God has accepted your first worship, he grants the honor of the second worship.
If you commit a sin and afterwards, God grants you the honor of worshiping, this worship after committing a sin is a reason that God has forgiven you; therefore, he grants the honor of worshiping''.
If you do a worship and afterwards, you commit a sin, committing a sin after worshiping is a reason that God has not accepted your worship; therefore, you have committed a sin because if your worship had been accepted by God, it should have prevented you from committing a sin. Consequently, committing a sin after worshiping is a reason that your worship has not been accepted by God.
If you commit a sin and repeat doing it, the second sin is a reason that God has not forgiven your first sin; therefore, you commit the second sin'', If you commit the third sin, the third sin is a reason that God has not forgiven your second sin''.
The third person that had asked the question received his answer.

The fourth person stood up from another corner of the mosque of Kufa and asked
''O' Ali! A born baby has a body with two heads''. Is he considered a person although he has two heads and he can get inheritance from his father as a person or get inheritance from his father as two persons?''
Amir Al-Momenin stated '' Have these two heads sleep. When they fall asleep, you wake up the first head slowly. If the second head wakes up along with the first head, it turns out that he is considered as a person and inherits from his father as a person. But if when you wake up the first head, you see that the second head is asleep still, it turns out that he is considered as two persons and inherits from his father as two persons''.
The fourth person received his answer and sat.
The fifth person that stood up from another part of the mosque asked
O' Ali! Two mothers fought with each other due two children. These two children were a girl and a boy. The first mother said '' boy is mine ''and the girl is yours. The second mother said '' the boy is mine and the girl is yours''. How can we prevent fromstruggle between these two mothers? ''
Amir Al-Momenin stated '' pick up two plates and take some milk of these two mothers. Weigh them; the milk of the woman whose weight is heavier is the mother of the boy and the milk of woman whose weight is lighter is the mother of the girl''.
The fifth received his answer and sat.
The sixth person stood up from another corner of the mosque and asked
''O' Ali! God has sent his message through the book named '' Zabur'' of Hazrat Davud and he has hidden four things. In it Tell me what these four things are''.
1. Amir Al-Momenin stated ' God has hidden his saints among human; therefore, you should disrespect none of persons of God and should not humble them. Maybe he is one of the persons of God, but you should not know.
2. God has hidden his satisfaction among the conformity of persons; therefore, you should not look down any devotions and ignore them because the satisfaction of God may be hidden among your devotions, but you should not know''.
