The sermons of Hazrat Ali

Moslem Bin Us and Jarie Bin GHodame Sadi attended the meeting of Amir Momenan (peace be upon him), Imam Ali (peace be upon him). Hazrat Ali sermonized over the pulpit of the mosque of Kufa and said
سلوني من قبل أن تفقدوني ، فإنّي لا اُسئلُ إلّا اُجيب عمّا دون العرش ، لايقولها بعدي إلّا كذّاب أو مفتري .
'' Ask me your questions from me before I leave you. Whatever is not related to the heaven should be asked from me and I can answer them and anybody else that claims the answers is a liar and insulter''.
A man that had Quran stood up from the corner of the mosque. The color of his face was rather white and had a tall height and curly hair and seemed that he was a Jewish Arabic man. He looked at Imam Ali (peace be upon him) and said '' O' the person claims whatever you do not know and do not understand! Now answer whatever I ask you''.
The companions of Amir Momenan, Imam Ali(peace be upon him), assaulted him all over the mosque, but Amir Al- Momenin, Imam Ali(peace be upon him) prevented them from doing it and said
'' Free him and do not rush because if you rush and act in a stupid way, the needs of God will not be met and asking questions quickly will not reveal the reasons of God''.
Then he looked at the man and said '' ask me however you want and with all of your understanding and knowledge; God willing I will answer them''.
The man asked '' how far is from the west to the east?''
Imam Ali (peace be upon him) asked '' it is as far as the distance of air''.
He asked '' what is the distance of air?''
Imam answered '' the turn of the sky''.
He asked '' how long is the turn of the sky?''
Imam Answered'' the turn of the sun within a day''.
The man said '' you were right. When will the doomsday come?''
Imam answered '' when the time of death arrives, the doomsday will come''.
He asked '' how long is the life of the world?''
Imam Answered '' it is seven thousand years and then it has no ending''.
The man asked '' where are Bekke and Mecca?''
He answered '' Mecca is around the holy shrine and Bekke is the place of Kabe''.
The man said '' you were right. Why is Mecca called with such a name?''
Imam answered '' it is called with such a name because exalted God created the earth under it''.
He asked '' why is it called '' Bekke''?''
Imam said '' it is called with such a name because the heads of violators and tyrants were bent and the eyes of sinners started crying''.
The man asked '' before God created the heaven, where was he?''
Amir Al-Momenin, Imam Ali (peace be upon him) said
سبحان اللَّه الّذي لايدرك كنه صفته حملة عرشه على قربهم من كرسيّ كرامته ، ولا الملائكة المقرّبين من أنوار سبحات جلاله ، ويحك! لايقال للَّه : أين ، ولا بِم ، ولا فيم ، ولا أنَّى ، ولا حيث ، ولا كيف .
''God whose carriers of throne cannot understand his attributes is immaculate. Although they are near the cathedral of his greatness and his angels cannot understand his greatness as well. Woe you! We can say where God is, who he looks like and how he is?( he is the creator of time and place. He cannot be within time and place and is dependent on them)''.
The man said '' you were right. Before exalted God created the sky and the earth, what part of his heaven was on the water?''
Amir Al-Momenan, Imam Ali (peace be upon him), asked '' can you calculate it well?''
He answered '' yes, I do''.
Hazrat Ali (peace be upon him) said '' if the earth is full of mustard seeds from the earth to the sky, then you are allowed to carry each seed from the east toward the west and give a long life and the ability of doing it until you can carry and count them. It is easier than counting years that the throne was on the water before the sky and earth created. I told you a part of one-tenth of thousands of thousands of its components and I seek forgiveness from God because of limiting this affair''.
The narrator says '' the man moved his head and said '' I attest that there are no worshipers except God and Hazrat Muhammad (peace of Allah be upon him and his descendants) is a sent person of God. Then recited these poems
حُزت أقاصي العلوم فما تبصر أن نوظرت مغلوباً
وأنت أصل العلم يا ذاالهدى تجلو من الشكّ الغيا هيبا
لاتنثني عن كلّ اُشكولة تبدي إذا حلّت أعاجيبا
''You have achieved to the highest rank of science and you have never failed in the debate.
O' the person that guides others and removes hesitation and darkness! You are the root and the source of science.
You never hands up against scientific problems and when you solve problems, wonderful things appear''.
Abd Al-Vahed Bin Zeid says '' I went to the Hajj of the house of God. When i was circling Kabe, suddenly I saw two maids that had stood beside Rokn Yamani. One of them said to her sister'' the husband of Hazrat Fateme (peace be upon her) has been chosen as a successor, issues rules among people equally, judges among people fairly and had true intentions''.
I heard her voice and she looked at me and said '' who have you described?''
He said '' I swear God! He is the best of best and is the way of achieving to the rules, the sender of human to the heaven and the hell, the killer of the polytheists, the trainer of the nation and the head of the Imams, the leader of the Muslims, the barve lion and this person is only Abu Al-Hasan Ali Bin Abi Taleb (peace be upon him)''.
I said '' how do you know Imam Ali (peace be upon him)?''
He said '' how can't I know the person that my father martyred along with in Seffin War. One day Hazrat Ali (peace be upon him) came to my mother and said
كيف أصبحت يا اُمّ الأيتام ؟
''O' the mother of orphans! How did you spend your night?''

My mother said '' O' Amir Al-Momenin! It was good''.
Then she showed my sister and me to Hazrat Ali (peace be upon him). I suffered from Jdry, the disease of the skin. This disease was as painful as I lost my eyes. When Hazrat Ali (peace be upon him) saw me in such a situation, he sighed and recited these poems
ما إن تأوَّهت من شي‏ء رزيت به كما تأوّهت للأطفال في الصغر
قد مات والدهم من كان يكفلهم في النائبات وفي الأسفار والحضر
I never sighed for something that I had not suffered from. I sighed for such little children. Who took care of the children that had lost their father in difficult times and troubles?
The he touched my face with his sacred hands. In such a time, my eyes opened. '' O' my nephew! My eyes healed as well as I could see the wince of a camel in a dark night and this was due to the favor of Amir Al-Momenin, Imam Ali (peace be upon him)''.
Then our mater, Imam Ali (peace be upon him) requested some things for us from Beit Al-Mal and made us happy and came back.
Abd Al-Vahed says '' when I heard these remarks, I stood up and took Dinars from the cost of my journey and gave to Her and said '' take these Dirhams and spend whenever you need them''.
He said '' O'man! This belongs you from my side. We have inherited the best things from the best person. I swear God that we are the member of the family Aba Muhammad Hasan Bin Ali (peace be upon him)''.
Then he turned his head and recited these poems
ما نيط حبّ عليّ في خناق فتى *** إلّا له شهدت بالنعمة النعم
ولا له قدم زلّ الزمان به *** إلّا له أثبتت من بعدها قدم
ما سرّني أن أكن من غير شيعته *** لو أنّ لي ما حوته العرب والعجم
'' Imam Ali (peace be upon him) was kind with all of young persons and he has been granted best blessings''.
His steps never weakened, but he stepped firmly.
If I had Shiite Religion and I owned the properties of Arab and Ajam, I would not be happy.
Aamesh says '' a year I went to the Hajj of Beit Allah Al-Haram. We resorted one of houses there. I saw a blind woman that was saying '' O' person that had the sun shine over Ali Bin Abi Taleb after it has set! Heal my eyes''.
Aamash says '' I was surprised of her remarks and took two Dinars of my pocket and gave it to her''.
She touched two Dinars with her hands, threw them toward me and said '' O' man! You humiliated me because of my poverty. Spit on you. Everyone that loves the descendants of Muhammad will not be disgraced''.
Aamash says '' I continued my path in order to fulfill Hajj. I fulfilled the rituals of Hajj and went toward my houses. During this time, I was thinking about the woman until I arrived the same place. Suddenly I saw the woman looking at me. I looked at her and said '' O' the woman! How did the affection and the kindness of Ali Bin Abi Taleb(peace be upon him) influence you?''
She said '' O' the man! I swore God to Hazrat Ali (peace be upon him) for six nights. In the night of the seventh night that was Friday, I saw in my dream that a man came to my dream and said to me '' O' the woman! Do you love Ali Bin Abi Taleb?''
I said '' yes, I do''.
He said '' put your hands on your eye. Then he recited a prayer and said
'' O' God! If this woman loves Ali Bin Abi Taleb with a good intention, heal her eyes''.
Then he said to me '' remove your hands from your eyes''.
I removed my hands from my eyes. Suddenly I saw a man against myself and said '' Who are you that God granted his favor to me through you? Hew said
أنا الخضر ، أحبّي عليّ بن أبي طالب عليه السلام ، فإنّ حبّه في الدنيا يصرف عنك الآفات ، وفي الآخرة يعيذك من النار .
'' This is Khezr. Love Ali Bin Abi Taleb(peace be upon him) and his affection toward him saves you from plights and troubles in the world and makes you get rid of the fire of the hell''.
