Ingredients
250 ground red meat
1 onion
1 egg
2 tbsp. lemon juice
5 tomatoes
1 tbsp. tomato paste
Salt, black pepper and cinnamon for seasoning
Sargonjeshki Stew
Procedure:
In a mixing bowl, mix ground red meat, egg, grated onion (juice removed), and cinnamon, salt and pepper to get a consistent mixture. Then make into small balls of equal size. Place in a pan and sauté in oil till golden in color.
Chop up the tomatoes and add to the pan along with lemon juice, tomato paste as well as 1 cup water. You can dissolve tomato paste in water. Allow to cook on mild flame till well-settled. Serve with bread or rice. Bon appetite!
Cooking Points:
In case the gravy is not strong enough, add 1 tbsp. wheat flour or bread crumbs.
If desired, you can add cubes of peeled potatoes along with chopped tomatoes.
