Here, the clouds have shaken hand with the earth

There are beautiful forests around the city Shahroud, which are known not only for its beautiful trees and forest paths, but also the clouds being accumulated. This dream forest, named as "cloud forest", is known so because in most cases an ocean of clouds surrounds the space.
The cloud forest is at the place where thickness of the Alborz Mountains is reduced and the clouds caught behind the walls are flooded to the south from amidst the reef valleys; so almost from the afternoon until midnight, the air is getting cooling so that the forest is mounted to the clouds.
The cloud forest placed in Shahroud would be part of the oldest and most beautiful forests of Hyrkani with rare plant and animal species. The forest area is of 35 thousand hectares and is located in the north, along the lush forests. In this forest, the clouds are so closed to the trees which the forest seems to be mounted to the clouds, you can be riding on the clouds; and the forest cloud is one of the most beautiful natural scenery of Iran.
Within the forest, there are seen maple trees, alder, acacia, and oak and wild pear tree. It is suitable to know that this is the 114th natural effect became listed by Cultural Heritage Organization in Natural Heritage List of Iran in February 9, 2010.
Placed forests from sea level to high altitude, being low temperature in the hot season and existing numerous springs and various forests coverage are characterized of the cloud forest.
The cloud forest is important for three reasons to the world:
• Part of an ancient forest of Hyrkani and rare herbs exist in.
• Accutane of this area is important, and this is an infix boundary between the semi-desert and forest ecosystems. In the forests, it can be seen coniferous trees and broadleaf tree species in the area that this is have been effective on the animal species.
• Specific geographic area that put together both low and high areas is important; so that we can see the formation of Cloud Ocean in the region that the phenomenon is rare in the world.
The animal species in the region are of the brown bear species, wolves, leopards, wild pigs, jackals, foxes, rabbits, goats, chamois and snakes and of birds, partridge, wild pigeon, quail, wild eagle, vulture, hawk, dove and pheasant.
