The word of ORDIBEHESHT is taken from ARTAWAHIST or ASA VAHISTA (from Zoroastrian religious book by name AVESTA). And it means best order/best reality. And in the middle Persian, is having close link with VAHUMAN (BAHMAN month), and URMOZD is close to these two. They are helpers to ARTUHASH of fire, SURUSH, RAHRAN (BAHRAM) and NARIVSANG, and to destroy the devil, are holding the helping fire, hand to hand. BANDHASHAN is the daughter of AHURAMAZDA (Zoroastrian God). In YASNA section 31, paragraphs 7 & 8, it is said, AHURAMAZDA, created ASHE, from himself. AHURAMAZDA, HUMNEH and ASHE are in the same place (YASNAI 9/44). Opposite force to ASHE is a lie, which makes disorder and lie. Followers of lie world (DROGVANT) are in front of followers of truth (ASAVAN). The word of ASHE in AVESTA book with ancient Iranian form of ARTE is same. And NYBERG, believes that, ARTE is an Aryan concept of pre-Zoroastrian (390, 350,137). He believes that, ASHE is having a static, dynamic and motivated concept. And it is not unrealistic situation, or a quite device, but is a force in globe, which effects on health and strength of the world. And gives treatment to the harms which comes out of the devil forces, and approach closes to so-called the prosperity (HAMU book, page 136). It is interesting that, the said concept in the ancient Persian month is seen in other form.
In Zoroastrian calendar, third day of every month is called as ORDIBEHESHT. In third day of ORDIBEHESHT, a celebration by name ORDIBEHESHTGAN was held, and ABUREIHAN BIRUNI (great Iranian philosopher, mentioned in his article about implementation of the said celebration.
In ancient Persian calendar, this month was mentioned in ELAMITE writing, 8 times in form of TU-RA-MA-RA, and 23 times in the form of TU-RU-MA-RA and in many cases in the form of TU-IR-MA-IR and TU-RU-MA-IR (HINZ, W., 1973:66). Most of the researchers, assumed the first part of this name from θūra, GHAS, AVESTAI, SURA (strong), and the second part from VAHARA (spring). And in total, they got the phrase of strong spring.
As JUSTI is used for the individuals and gods, they have given the meaning of bearer of original spring.
(EILERS, W.1953, 11), with regard to new and middle Persian word of SUR (celebration), calls it as month of spring celebration. This meaning with grammatical form of this name in used combination in ancient Persian is not the same, and can`t be accepted easily. SCHMITT (SCHMITT, R, 2003, 35-36), despite the structural problems, anyway, recognizes the word of VAHAR (spring), but about the connection in the first part, that means θūra has different view. He points out about the AVESTAIAN word of SURA in AVESTA, in combination of SURA-UAH, purple twilight, shows the more time, means dawn`s early red. Here also we can have time interpretation from this combination. And assume the month as presenter of the early spring.
I think this month is just like today`s ORDIBEHESHT, and now also, it is the best month of the year, and is consistent with seasons of MIZIYU ZARMINEH, means the middle vegetable. This month shows itself in the season of spring with best effect and strongest figure, same as ASHE in best form of the world in AVESTA book. So in this month, rely is on strong characteristics of spring season in most strong figure. And mostly, we can give the phrase of most spring season to it. It is necessary to mention that, the first season –middle vegetable- middle spring, is 40 days after the beginning of the year, means tenth of ORDIBEHESHT (second month), belongs to this month. In this month the creation of sky took place. Anyway, in season and in ancient name of month, all points to flourishing and best prosperity of the spring. Probably, this name was made under affection of season classification. www.Anthropology.ir/branches_mythology. Start of spring in this month is the survivor of very old season classification of ACHAEMENIAN calendar. Because for Aryans in northern part, spring was starting, later than FARVARDIN of today. In the calendar of OSSETIAN people, which is expressed by ABAYEV, this month is celebrated by flower making.
