A haven for white demon of SHAHNAMEH (Iranian main historical book)

SHIRABAD cave:

If you pass the GORGAN state (in north of Iran), the residents of the said area, are showing a mysterious cave to you. And believe that a white demon is living there. But cavers are calling that area as SHIRABAD. It is interesting that, full darkness and echo of sound movement, shows the old myth story. The said cave is natural and human had no hand in its construction. A watery cave with 235 meters long and diameter of 9 to 15. In the floor of white demon cave, cold water flows which pours in SHIRABAD river in down section of cave. And in path continuation, joins the jungle`s seven falls.
Humidity and suitable temperature of this cave, made it a good place for, some species, such as blind salamander, which lives in this place only. Most portion of the cave is dark. And at the end of it, there is a spring, which is apparently, the origin of its cave`s creation. Construction characteristics of cave and quality of ground has made pool, stalactites, mud beds and different phenomenon along the path.

Falls of SHIRABAD:

Steep slopes of ALBORZ mountain ranges, in the eastern region and the presence of abundant springs on the slopes of GHALEH SARAN Mountain, formed small and big water falls in range of SHIRABAD cave. And height of tallest fall reaches to 20 meters. When you pass the car road in south of SHIRABAD, are entering the jungle territory, which will end to the river`s edge. In this route, there is a river, which you can see, dark-colored igneous rock in its bed.

Few kilometers to heaven………

Cave and water falls of SHIRABAD, are situated in 55 kilometers east of GORGAN city, between cities of ALIABAD KATUL and AZADSHAHR.
The nearest city to cave is KHAN BEBIN, and closest village is SHIRABAD. On the view of hardness, SHIRABAD cave is easy for cavers. And there is no need for professional tools. But still there are dangers and new comer should accompany an expert group.
This cave and its famous water falls, are 20 kilometers away from the village of SHIRABAD. And to reach to that area, you have to go through KHAN BEBIN city to SHIRABAD village to south side. And after the village, proceed the asphalt road and then enter the MALRU road. This path goes to water falls. And the cave is between second and third fall.
