Nowruz is the best time to visit the natural attractions in Iran , it’s when everything is changing. Of course this is the most sensitive and delicate time for nature and the smallest negligence and carelessness may result in irreparable damage to the environment.
Margun waterfall
Kohgiluye and Boyer Ahmad is a province where there are so many highlights which are unknown to many ; even the residents themselves. The beauty of wonderful nature in there doubles when it changes from one color to another during different seasons. One of its most beautiful waterfalls named Margun is formed by the water from Komehr river and its basin. It’s the only waterfall in the country which flows even when it’s frozen ( a phenomenon known as Yakh Shar). It flows in a canyon with the same name and lies on the border between the provinces of Kohgiluye and Boyer Ahmad and Fars.
Twin lakes of Siah Gav
The fields in Ilam are beautiful destinations for tourists. There is a lake named Siah Gav. It’s twin; what makes it among the rarest natural highlights in the world.Siah Gav river runs through the rocks and the valley of Kabir Kuh and gets into the expansive filed of Moormoori and pours into the twin lakes. The first lake is in front of the second. It would marvel visitors by its crystal clear water and colorful fish as well as reeds around.
Unfortunately, it recievs few national tourists and the majority of visitors come from across the province.
A town in the cave
No doubt, the most famous highlight in Hamedan is Alisadr cave where each year countless visitors pay a visit. It is among the rarest in the world with water passages and a fairly broad lake which is a hub for boat riding. The light air inside has no movement and is constant. If a candle is lit inside , its flame won’t ever move.
Among the amenities beside it are the inn, villas and lodging, restaurant, shopping centers, handicrafts store, grocery store, rest room, car parks, green open space, kids’ playground, and mount climbing station.
Forest in a sea
Once you ever visit Hara forests, you’ll plan to come over again. The vegetation is among the rarest in Iran and across the world . The tides add to the beauty of the region. It’s anappropriate habitat for fish, mollusks and crustaceans which feed wild fish and birds.
Many migratory birds ( Asian and European species ) which fly to Africa , stay in the forest for some time on their way.
Nowruz is the best time for boat riding and watching birds. But try not to disrupt their peace and preserve their environment.
Watching north’s birds
The Northern provinces are always the first options when it comes to traveling. Iran’s lovely north is still the top destination for countless visitors (you should be ready for traffic , though). One of the most beautiful highlights of Iran’s north is the 1,230-hectare pond known as Amir Kalaye where hundreds of migratory birds fly for a winter stay . They include pelican, flamingo, gull, Khootka, swan and duck.If you are traveling to Gilan in Nowruz , you’ll get to watch them. The average depth of the pond reaches 160 centimeters. Among the aquatics include pike, Asbale, Karas and Sim Nama. You can also visit the village of Amir Kalaye nearby.
