The bridge is the only old passage of Iran linking part of the east world to the west world located in Tabriz on the Talkhe Rud river.
It includes 16 mouths , 100 m long and 5 m wide, and has always been devastated and restored as a result of the floods in the river.
I’s first been mentioned in Venetians itinery in the Safavid era , Shah Esmail I. Now behind it there is picturesque scenery due to water flow. Passing by the old river you’ll reach
Tabriz second army base and nearby lies the airport of Tabriz.
Among other old bridges built over Mehran Rud river crossing the heart of the city are stone bridge, Ghari bridge, Sahebolamr bridge, Monajjem bridge etc. among which Ghari bridge , also known as Pa Cheragh, is the most spectacular with its arched pillars and old lovely lights.
Architecturally speaking, they have 3 or 4 arched mouths built in old designs.
