Ghara Gheshlagh Wetland

The wetland is located on the shores of south of Oromiyeh lake on the suburbs of the city if Bonab, with a geographical location of 37° 13" north latitude and 45°51"38' east longitude.

It encompasses an area of 40,000 hectares.
Height
The place lies 1,270 m above sea level.
Ways to access
It is accessible through Bonab, Malekan, and Fasandooz.
Function
The fields around the wetland are a habitat for birds and domestic animals and bird hunting is common there.
Management and protection
The prohibited region for hunting is overseen by the province of East Azerbaijan.
Tourist attraction
The wetland lies between the two provinces of East and West Azerbaijans and the way to access is easy. It is a draw for nature lovers and sightseers who plan a short-term stay thanks to its pleasant weather in summer as well as its beautiful various birds species in spring and summer.
Plants
The main vegetation there includes reeds and tamarisk.
Fish
There is no fish in the lake but in the mouths of Zarrineh Rud and Simineh Rud rivers the fish like carp and black fish can be spotted.
