The extensive earthwork is located southeast of Miyaneh, near the river of Shahr Chai. On the north and northeast lie residential buildings and the south and southwest parts are encompassed by agricultural lands and green luxuriant gardens. Also on the northwest stands the old cemetery of Khan Jan Abad, which is now totally abandoned.
The dirt hill is attributed to the Sassanid era and has been in use from the Islam rise to late Ghajar era. The only material used includes adobes, 30 by 40 cm. Some parts of the structure are destroyed over time as a result of natural factors as well as scattered excavations. The hill, castle, was visited by the experts from culture and arts ministry in 1354, solar calendar, and was registered as an ancient national site.
