The historic house of Ershadi, built in the Ghajar era, is placed in the Neighborhood of Uch Dokan, in the city of Ardebil. The building first served as a residential area. It is indeed among the beautiful constructions in the city which displays architectural decoration styles in late Ghajar era.
On the second Pahlavi era, the building was handed over to the Educational Organization as a school. It is the remains of a large master's house which was destroyed and then renovated.
The building is made with materials, stone foundations, sandstone, and limestone. The external walls are made with bricks and the interiors are in adobe.
The plinths of external walls are composed of a line of black basalt stones, chiseled skillfully, and covered in 10 centimeter Ghernize, a wooden, stone, cement or plastic strip which is extended along the bottom of the walls, of the same material.
The arched ceilings are covered in bricks, boards, and wooden poles, as well as domes decorated in plaster Mogharnas.
Shah Neshin, side rooms, 2 entrances decorated in plaster works and Mogharnas frames are also quite fascinating. The Mogharnas only has decorative purposes and fills the spaces.
Of note are the wall stoves equipped in Shah Neshin, wooden doors and windows with colorful glass decorated in Eslimi motifs as well as the plaster- brick arcades in the courtyard.
The Historical House of Ershadi is registered on the national site list, numbered 6686.
