Hadi Shahr
The town, with a population of over 7,800, is the center of Rudbast in Babolsar. It was founded in 1381, on solar calendar and was named Kalle Bast. In 1392, 2 villages of Mir Bazar and Keikha Mahalleh were united with Kalle Bast and the name changed to Hadi Shahr.
Kalle Bast and Mir Bazar are very old indeed. According to the elderly, Kalle Bast was a green lush region with forests where the wealth families would live. Its former name was Kalan Bast. Another name is Kile Bast; Kile means a small stream. There used to be a river running through the place which supplied water. Over time it turned into Kale Bast, to pronounce easily.
As for Mir Bazar, Mir which is used in naming some villages and places in Mazandaran Province, is an abbreviation of Amir. It is also the title of Amir Almoemenin PBUH. Since there is a weekly Bazaar open on Tuesdays, it is called Mir Bazar or Amir Bazar.
The Bazaar is estimated to be over 200 years old. In this regard, in the oldest written work, which is the logbook of Bohler where it is mentioned, it dates from 150 years ago.
Keikha Mahalleh is a village which extends east to Kalle Bast and west to the Amol-Babolsar Road.
