The dish is among traditional foods in Kermanshah Province.
Ingredients for 4 to 6
Ground beef, 250 g
Rice, 200 g
Dried mint leaves powder, 25 g
Sugar, 100 g
Vinegar, 2/3 glass
Onion, 1 no
Egg, 1 no
Water, 1 glass
Salt, black pepper, turmeric, as required
Pour some water in a pot and put rice inside. Heat it till its water goes off and it gets mushy.
Then grate the onion and drain its water. Add it along with the ground beef to the rice paste.
Season with salt, sugar, and mint powder, kneading finely.
Once Ingredients are well mixed , break the egg and knead again till the paste becomes sticky
enough.
Take a piece of the kneaded ingredients, in an orange size, and shape it into an egg. Arrange
them at the bottom of the pot.
In a desired dish, combine together vinegar, water, 2 spoons of oil and sugar. Put it over the heat
till it becomes thick. The sauce is ready.
Pour the prepared sauce over the Koftas. Give it almost 1 hour over mild flame till the Koftas
are thoroughly well-done.
