100 g split peas
400 g dried prunes or plums
4 tablespoons fried onion
1 1/2 kg chicken
1/2 teaspoon saffron
Salt and pepper for seasoning
1 tablespoon sugar (optional)
First, wash the dried prunes and soak in lukewarm water. In a pot, heat oil and sauté the chopped onion. Then add the chicken and sauté well. Also add spices and sauté too. Stir soaked split peas and keep sautéing. Add the soaked prunes along with its water. Finally add the brewed saffron and reduce the heat to low. Wait till well-cooked.
