BIOGRAPHY OF SHEIKH BAHAEE

He was born in BALBAK in 1546. When he was a child along with his father came to Iran. After finishing his education, he became a scholar of Isfahan. He decided to go for pilgrimage in 1584. Then he visited Islamic countries like Iraq, Syria and Egypt. And after 4 years returned to Iran. He was master in science, philosophy, logic and mathematics, of which 88 books and journals remained. He expired in 1624. According to his will, his body was taken to MASHHAD. And was buried near to shrine of IMAM REZA (PBUH).
SHEIKH has created outstanding works in prose and verse. He was familiar with Turkish language. The best source for collecting his poems is KASHKOOL book. The common feature of asceticism and mysticism are lyrics. Some say, his best known literary work is Bread and Cheese. Another book by name Milk and Sugar is fascination and enthusiasm. Other poets like Rumi welcomed his way of storytelling. SHEIKH has a special place in Arabic literature too. His works are in the most accurate manner. His best known and most balled is called Imam ZAMAN eulogy in 63 Bits. So there is no doubt he was ISNA ASHARI in religion. It is obvious that he had extensive expertise in mystery contents. He even used this talent in religious works like ISNA ASHARI EPISTLES.
To explain the Islamic law, he wrote: THE LAW, this book was written to seek an end to the legal interpretation. For this sake, he took help of more than one thousand HADITH.

SHIKH BAHAEE SERVICES:

In the tradition of Iranian people, he is known for architecture, engineering and mathematics. Historians say, he is the architecture of IMAM mosque and NAJAF fence. And also determined the daily time from the shadow of sun in ISFAHAN city.
There is no doubt about his geodesy engineering. Best example is ZAYANDE ROUD river water sharing in ISFAHAN city. He done it with utmost fairness and accuracy for the city, surrounding villages and neighborhoods. And improved the water and material. The system which he made is in normal way. Other scientific work which is also related to him is NAJAF ABAD canal aqueduct. This canal is called as ZARIN KAMAR. And is one of the biggest subterranean canal in Iran. He also determined the direction of GHIBLA in IMAM mosque. And by this way, he ended a long dispute over GHIBLA direction.
ISFAHAN bath house is his wonderful work. The said building is between central mosque and HAROUNIYEH in old market near the mausoleum. It is believed that bath house was heated with a single candle. He made a vacuum under fire place and kept a candle in it and covered the place. So candle was burning and water was hot. He said before, if any one breaks the vacuum area, the candle will fail. After some years when workers wanted to do the repair work, broke the space. Instantly, candle failed. There after no one could bring back the position. Also the design of MONAR JONBAN is attributed to him and still exists.
