Ashkoft-e Gavi cave is located on the north slope of green mountain , 5km southwest of the city of Marv Dasht in the province of Fars, that is right across from the village of Dehviyeh Runiz Oliya. The mouth of the cave is hidden under the shade of old trees of and leads to the floor of the cave with a steep. The height of the cave from the the surface of the field, Dash, is about 30 m and its mouth is towards the river of Kor , 100m from it.

If you ever travel to the cave of Ashkoft-e Gavi , ypu can see its conical shapes hanging down the ceiling which have been formed as a result of freezing water. This is what geloologists call stalactite. Furthermore, there are pyramid-like shapes on the floor too which have created interesting scenery.
Ashkoft-e Gavi boasts cool and pleasant weather and its large water hole which collects cool water is perhaps the most fascinating landscape you'll come across. It is locayed right at the end of the cave where water flows down the ceiling onto the limestone column.
If you travel there these days , you'll notice stone cutting machines around the cave pulling out stones. Since its space is not clear they are getting closer to the body of the cave every day and it has made the cultural heritage lovers concerned
