Carpet weaving was not prevalent in Naein until the time of the serious, assidous Mirza Jalal Khan Pirzade who was the head of Naein School from the years of 1296 to 1307. He saw that some students of Naein are not able to continue their education after they finish their primary studies. Due to the lack of enough employment and business opportunities in Naein and because students had to protect themselves and their poverty-striken families, they were forced to imagirate and leave their city. So, Mirza Jalal Khan Pirzade decided to provide a kind of occupation for these people.
Therefore in the year of 1302 he found a technical class with his own money and he got help from two of the masters of carpet weaving of Naein named Mirza Hasan and Mirza Javad Sajjadi. For two years, they taught the vocation of carpet weaving to zealous people who really liked the vocation in the first carpet weaving workshop of Naein.
After a short time the deceased Haj Molla Ghasem Sadeghi established another carpet weaving workshop in the neighborhood of Chehel Dokhtaran in Naein and it became so well-known and absorbed a lot of others to this impressive art. Pattern of Naein carpet is inspired by the dessert and deep culture of Naein and Safavid patterns.
The carpet known today as Naein carpet of Iran which has a high value and pride and acceptance in the world markets is the result of the artistic fingers of people living with a lot of hardships in the dessert.
