If you go out , you'll notice coolers over the roofs and in front of the windows every where. About 70 ℅ of Iranian households use water or gas coolers to cool down their place. The water coolers are about 500 W and gas ones are over 2000 W.
It's been many years that the people of our country know the city of Chaldoran as the city without coolers. It's cool as it lies on the slope of Zagros mountain range which has surrounded its north and south like a gem.
Ali Radmanesh , one of the citizens of Chaldoran , says, " in the old days when we went out as a result of weather conditions , we would see a few citizens spending their leisure time out of their houses.
Amin Valizaadeh , one of the household appliances sellers in the city says, " I have never seen storekeepers sell coolers for 25 years I' ve been working as a salesman. Cooling systems in the city are only limited to fans which are used when the temperature goes up just in noons and not during the day.'
It's noteworthy that in the old years it was mild and pleasant and people would rather stay in than go to parks or open spaces.
Of course on the holidays this year it was different . it changed due to the current weather conditions of the country in the last days and made people go out or buy cooling devices.
One of the reasons why it has grown hotter is the destruction of vegetation as a result of recent floods in the city of Chaldoran. Unfortunately, each year over 4 million square meters of its soil in each hectare of its lands are destroyed due to floods.
