Christian Zionism as Reflected in the Mirror of Past, Present, and Future (1)

What you will be reading is a roundtable attended by Seyed Hadi Seyed Afghahi, Hossein Amiri, Esmail Shafiee Sarvestsni, and Ebrahim Shafiee Sarvestani in which Christian Zionism is put into discussion.
This current with reliance on the news from Bible and the belief in the "imminent advent of Jesus Christ (Peace be upon him)" and the imminent great and pervasive war of "Armageddon" tries to provide arrangements and facilities in order to attend the scene and even to precipitate the comprehensive awful event of nuclear war in the Middle East.
The current which via piercing through ruling body of the United States of America considers West's presence in the Middle East and Iraq as a sacred and religious duty and which has played a major role in the events of the past few decades in the world.
Investigation of this plot and getting to know the great conspiracy is the task of all Muslims today.
Promised: I’d like to thank my dear brothers Mr. Afghahi and Mr. Amiri, who accepted to attend in this interview about a serious problem in contemporary cultural and political world, i.e. the issue of "Christian Zionism". Today, analysts have different interpretations of what is happening in the world, especially in the Muslim world which is generally based on social and political attitudes and theories that emerged in the West.
Therefore, this analysis does not comply with the act. In other words, they don’t provide the necessary enlightenment so that the task can be determined; or to program about safe keeping of Muslims from what have put their lives at risk. Not long ago while I reading about the United States of America’s invasion to Iraq, I noticed that some friends seriously pursue the issue of Christian Zionism. Of course we used to see this issue when we published materials in the Promised especially in the field of "battle of Armageddon".
It seems that there has been no serious dialogue on the issue of Christian Zionism. Since in the last decade, this trend in the United States of America has played a major role in macro-political and military orientations, we decided to discuss such issues in the presence of the participants of this roundtable, shed light on the record of this issue and by explaining the basics according to which they set to political-military planning for the world turn a new leaf to make our people, all Muslims and Shiites, aware of the process which threatens them as a great conspiracy.
First of all, I want each of you to give us an image of the flow that we see today and which is known as Christian Zionism, and that where this process is formed; what plan it follows; What effect does it have on the macro-political decision-making of today America, and that where it has adopted its intellectual foundations, so that God willing, it will be a prelude to the next questions.
Mr. Afghahi: In the name of God. I, in turn, would like to thank Promised Journal and editor and Editor in chief of this valuable magazine Mr. Shafiee Sarvestani and other colleagues at the institute who provided this opportunity to discuss this very sensitive topic which is effective on security policy and examine the world from different angles.
Before entering the main purposes of discussion, I would like to mention briefly the history of this process in terms of their faiths and beliefs. The issue of the influence of Jewish literature and divine the literature of the Old Testament in the literature and divine of the New Testament or Christianity coincided with the age of the Reformation. Christians before the beginning of the Reformation led by a priest called "Martin Luther" in their religious principles adhered to three principles which are still found in previous works; the first is that with the advent of Jesus Christ (Peace be upon him) and beginning of Christian law the history and agency of the Jewish nation finishes. This is the principle agreed by all Christians.
The second principle was that the displacement, pressure, migration, pain and suffering and dispersion inflicted on Jewish people were all the result of errors, sins and disobeying God’s commands. Jews had two important exoduses and were deported twice from their land and Christians believe both were because of two major sins. The first exodus took place in the time of king of Babylon, called "Nebuchadnezzar" in the year 587 BC.
After dominating the land of Palestine, this King took Jews into captivity and moved them in the land of Babylon where they lived for a quite long period of time. It is interesting to note that during this period the Babylonian Pagan culture and traditions pierced into the culture and Old Testament Jewish divine, and we can clearly see in their religious books, like the Torah and the Talmud, the traces of the polytheistic. So Christians consider the first exodus to be because of Jewish calf-worshipping, idolatry and disobeying the law of Prophet Moses and believe that God punished them in this way.
There is also another disobedience caused after the destruction of Jerusalem or Quds and this exodus and displacement happened in the year 70 AD at the time of the Roman emperor called "Titus". In the second exodus and displacement many Jews who were expelled from Palestine went to the surrounding areas in North Africa and the Middle East and Levant; Christians believe the second exodus occurred because the Jews by the Roman emperor conspiracy crucified Jesus Christ (Peace be upon him).
The third principle is the promise of the so-called return of the Jews to the promised land of Palestine. Luckily Eastern and North African Christians and many European Christians believe that this return has taken place. There is no doubt that the Jewish people were promised the returning to their own land. But what is contradictory here is that today Christian Zionism believes that the return is taking place in the present day, while it is recorded in the history that when Cyrus, king of the Achaemenid Iran, rose to the power, calls Jewish people to the return and offers them the choice for those who want to return and those who are willing to stay.
Many Jews return. By the same token, when Mr. "Pope Shenouda" leader of Aghbat of Egypt is asked about his opinion about Jewish return and if he approves or denies this in the Bible? He says: I totally approve it. The question is: have the Jews the right to return to their homeland right now? He elegantly and logically answers and says: We have no exact date as to whether the land belongs the Jews.
It is important when a great Christian leader is saying and he continues that if the issue of return be rooted in reality-which we believe is true according to the text of Torah- this return has already taken place at the time of Cyrus the Great.
Promised: What are the similarities and differences between Christian Zionism and Zionist Judaism?
Mr. Amiri: There is a major difference between Jews and Christians. Jews in the United States of America are of two or three spectrum: reformist and conservative. People who are conservative on the whole like "Mortimer Zuckerman" who is a media personality and is very well known in the United States of America; or " Malcolm Huen Lane" – he is more famous than the president of the United States of America- they are completely in line with ideas of Christian Zionism because of the strong opinion about the Middle East. They themselves are part of this movement, not as we think they are Christians.
"Mortimer Zuckerman" is a Jewish man and in the spectrum of Christian Zionism, but some people like Senators, including "Robert Waxman" considers their ideas dangerous for Jews for two reasons. One is that Jews live in Israel and the misery and discomfort of caused by Christian Zionists goes to immigrants who live in there.
Second, they have destructive thoughts that are bad for the people of the United States of America. Conservative Jews who are very rich and are in minority agree with them, but other factions like Mr. Eric Yoffe who is a Jewish reformer considers them harmful for Judaism, Christianity and Israeli society.
Israelis themselves have a particular view on these people that if they want to act as a backup from outside it is OK, but if they come into Israel so as to act as a destructive force, meaning that they want to rent an apartment and be waiting for an event to perform their violent activities, it is forbidden in Israel;
When they come as a tourist or just supporters, they are acceptable, but they are not accepted as missionaries. Israel has this dual approach with them. It underlined in the United States that Jews in America who believe that they are dangerous for society and humanity in Israel and the Jews, Jews do not support them, they only support the rich and powerful.
Mr. Afghahi: There are several major historical turning points that need to be pointed out, both in the History of Civilization by Will Durant and in political and historical references and authentic books on leaders’ positions or the great figures of the world in support of the idea of Christian Zionism that were quite interesting for me. Such as "Napoleon Bonaparte" who wrote a very wide and long statement in praise of the Jewish people and stressed the readiness of the armed forces of France and to recover the right of the Jews, i.e. the Promised Land, in which he addresses Jews saying:
Now the time has come to take back overwhelmed legacy of their ancestors.
It is written in the book of Jewish Christian written by Reza Halal quoting valid historical and documents books. Because Napoleon Bonaparte believed in the Christian Zionist and had been grown up in a fundamentalist Christian family, he had such an idea.
Also in some history books we read that: a character like "Isaac Newton" the discoverer of law of gravity says:
I am sure and certain that someday the children of God will return to their homeland, but I leave the details and how it will be done to time, and now I can say how this will be realized.
Or Mr. "Joseph Presley" discoverer of Oxygen gas and a famous chemist or Mr. "Jean-Jacques Rousseau" have had statements in this context and believed that the Jewish state should be formed as a prelude to the reappearance of Christ. So the issue of emergence plays a very central role here, and we should work on this issue more than before as in today world many political movements, military invasion, unqualified and unconditional support of the West and especially the United States of America from Zionist regime are all originating from the same idea.
And even the issue of "Armageddon" that God willing we will return to it, is in a way a turning point and not as a principle and as one of the events that need to happen to accelerate the reappearance of Jesus.
Promised: How Christian Zionism was formed in today's politicians of the United States of America?
Mr. Afghahi: Of course, these issues that were raised were introduction to the main discussion. Since the 1980s, the evangelical churches but not all of them but a certain type of them, especially the Church of the Rebirth which was among the most radical churches as to Christian Zionism, has begun to take measures to get closer to US politicians and the Zionist lobbies.
It should be noted that the branches and churches of a sect like Popists, Methodist, and the Church of Rebirth were the most radical and the most extreme churches and Mr. George Bush was affiliated with this church. In 1995 he declared that "I am born again!" The presence of "Jerry Falwell" Zionist Christian pastor in Bush's inauguration was for the reason he was affiliated to this church. This priest is that one who insulted Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) called him devil.
So we see that from this time near the churches of Christian Zionism and their support and their willingness to participate in civic and governmental entities America becomes more serious and thus were excluded from it simple religious isolation. Jewish lobbies were their best friend and helper, because they practice dominance in economic and trade issues and the media and the mafia;
In this way, they came closer to each other. They were not intellectually different and issues that were raised between them included administrative issues, exchange of experiences and division of their interests. From twenty years ago the first Christian Zionist who entered the White House was "Jimmy Carter".

In his speech in Knesset of Israel, Jimmy Carter said:

Our relationship with the people of Israel is more than just a special relationship. It is the question of similar fate and allies and the influence of Jewish religious culture and we have something like the unity of ethics, laws and culture with Jews.
In this way he considered this issue more than a mere political, military, security or economic treaty and he is the first high-ranking Christian Zionist politician in the White House. After Carter, comes Reagan that has a famous saying:
I ask God to give me the success to press the key of nuclear missiles to start the war of Armageddon.
And in the line of Christian Zionism and George Bush the son refers to the crusades after the September 11 events and the issue of the hand of God and that we want to fulfill the will of God and destroy evil forces of the countries in the Axis of Evil, which are according to him, "Iran, Iraq and North Korea". All these terms are relating to the Old Testament literature and divine.
He also raises the issue of freedom of nations and thus Mr. George Bush pose the issue of true democracy less than needed, because they do not believe in democracy; rather they believe in American-style freedom and democracy in the way of Christian Zionism that at the height of all free nations one government called the rule of the United States of America should exist that thanks to the cooperation with Israel as the frontline of confrontation and resistance base of God's children against the forces of evil.
The war that they started against Iraq was in fact influenced by the same backing of Old Testament literature and divine and one of the predictions mentioned in the Torah refers to this theme.
A war begins in the land of Babylon, and the king of Babylon will be overthrown from the table and the land will be freed.
Details of the War were discussed in 2002 annual meeting in Canada held between members of the Christian Zionist meeting. At this meeting important developments in strategic areas of the world are put into discussion, and the predictions are presented and they try to establish relationship between events and predictions and discuss the life-death issue of nations and consider it the background of the advent of Jesus Christ.
Why the United States of America in its war against Iraq did not seek permission from Security Council and UN? Why would the United States of America exit Nuclear Test-Ban Treaty, why ...?! Why it exits the Kyoto Protocol on the environment? To prove that only one intellect rules the world and this is a necessary precursor to the advent of Jesus Christ.
Of course, all this is a hoax, but unfortunately, because their advertising is extremely strong and broad reach, they can say their words. Although role their academic and scientific presence in the level of priests is low, but the pervasive media presence and their culture is intense and emotional.
They have at their disposal 1400 monograph including Internet, television networks, satellites and TV churches that is a new phenomenon of the last decade, in addition to major universities. They have penetrated into sensitive centers of decision-making and even threaten the strategic depth of the Catholic world, in a way that Pope has protested.
When George Bush says that "we get into this war by the will of God", Pope stands against it and says: "This war is not according to God's will, rather it is against God". Here Christian Zionist media claim that the Pope is the Antichrist and insult him in various ways.
This was a summary of the steps that this political group went through until one of their symbols has reached to the power in the White House and now is the leader of the White House.
Their most important political figures include Mr. Paul Volfotiz and Richard Berl. Some believe that Ms. Condoleezza Rise was also a Christian Zionism. But it seems the she is one of the conservative leaders of non-Christian Zionism that has completely separate ideas, but now as she shares with them the power, she accompanies them. "George W. Bush" to order of his father used intellect and political intelligence of Ms. Reyes for picking ministers.
Promised: The subject of predictions about the future of the largest Christian Zionist policy plays a role in both influencing people in the United States of America and also confirming the seriousness and immanency of event and the kind of passivity among other nations and Muslims. The issue of prophecy is clearly states in the rise of Jesus Christ (Peace be upon him) and will be announced after the taking place of Armageddon war. They refer to this event that occurs in the area of Armageddon a great nuclear war will take place and after the war countless people will be killed; even it is predicted that up to three billion people will be killed; Jesus Christ (Peace be upon him) will appear and the possibility exists that the Christian world saw the face of Jesus Christ (Peace be upon him).
But what makes the issue more serious according to Christian Zionism is that in order to achieve this should the stage should be prepared, and since this war will occur at a time when Israel has reached omnipotence and the Jewish population of the world have gathered in Israel and in the large nuclear conflict in the region of Armageddon the grounds for the reappearance of Jesus Christ (Peace be upon him) will be provided, after the shooting of the movie "Nostradamus" till now most films that have been somehow produced by investing of these people, we can see direct or indirect references to the subject of Armageddon, the final battle, the end of history and the advent of Jesus Christ.
In fact, they consider the war of Armageddon after which world comes to an end, and even in some of their phrases they refer to earth as the deceased earth, meaning that a land that is dead, and should not be mention. Ironically, when we see in the movie Armageddon, it is pointed out that world is threatened by a supernatural force and a force outside of the normal human strength, and this threat that threatens the people of the United States of America and must be combated; the main combaters are none but American technology and powerful men from this country.
We can see this theme in other films and in the movie "Independence Day" the same theme is repeated and in other films there are different ways of dealing with these issues: reappearance of Jesus Christ, the end of history, the rise of the Antichrist and the forces that fight. Obviously those who won are Americans and American technology.
I would like to ask my friends that if possible tell us why they emphasize so much on this issue of the war of Armageddon and the advent of Jesus Christ (Peace be upon him) and how planning it in this way challenges Muslims to engage in a serious dialogue?
Mr. Afghahi: "Armageddon" is a Latin word and has been used once in the Bible as "Har Megiddon" or "Har Megiddo" in travel revelation of John. This word is in the Bible in verse sixteen. There it implies that when evil forces came together and then the verse ends and there is no mention of it.
"Megiddo" is a high plain between Haifa and Jerusalem in 55 kilometers north of Jerusalem and in the depth of 15 km in the land of Palestine. "Har" is a Hebrew word meaning hills and high places and "Megiddo" means nobility. So "Har Megiddon" has been “Har Megiddo” in the beginning and in Hebrew it means" hill of the nobility. This thinking flow claims that it is the place of manifestation of power and the advent of Jesus Christ! When they say that the forces of evil, they are actually referring to Muslims and the East in general.
Two battles threaten children of God, one is the battle of Gog and Magog against the Jewish people and Palestine as they interpret the concepts of Gog and Magog to be Russia and China.
They interpret these events in whatever ways they like. In another interpretation they claim that Gog and Magog refer to nuclear power of Russia and the army of Arabs and Muslims which occurs before the great war of Armageddon and the purpose is to destroy Israel but children of Christ and the West help Jews (which refers to the contemporary wars between the Arabs and Israel) they want to say that: look! They want to destroy us and for this reason, "Ms. Condoleezza Rice" says that Israel's is now the key to the world security. This is a very important statement.
Mr. "Tony Blair" also says that we are bound and obliged to protect Israel's security. Mr. "George Bush's son" is something almost to the theme suggests that Israel's security priorities of our work. Other than this we cannot find evidence and confessed that they what is the position of Israel and that what they are doing with us.
As you said they believe the war is imminent and Jesus Christ will appear in the sky of Armageddon and transfers his believer children to the sky. Jews who are in complete readiness and fully equipped to confront forces of evil axis and devil powers and destroy them; and ultimately the children of God, i.e. Jews, will win the war and up to three billion people will be killed!!
The problem pointed out is whether this piece of land has the size and capacity for all these people? The answer that Mr. "Clyde" gives to Mrs. "Halsell" in a touristic-pilgrimage from the soil of America to the Occupied Territories is a vague answer. He says that war should happen, and they all die. Halsell says it is not logical and it does not match mathematical calculations, neither is intellectually possible.
Some have attempted to justify that here is the hotspot of clashes and these clashes reach to the every corner of the world and the same war of civilizations or the confrontation of evil forces and pacifist forces in every part of the earth and ultimately the children of God, Jews, win the war and Jesus Christ (Peace be upon him) returns to earth and established his own seat and base of his governance in the physique or the temple of Solomon and his reign lasts for a thousand years. The destruction of the Al-Aqsa Mosque is a certain prediction and one of their certainties on which they insist that will be discussed later, God Willing. This was a brief story of the war of Armageddon.
