Koordasht Bathhouse is among the historic sites of the village of Koordasht, in the central district of the city of Jolfa.
The monument receives thousands of domestic and foreign sightseers annually. The village of Koordasht belongs to the district of Varzaghan, in the city of Ahar.
The village and bathhouse lie along the river of Aras on the south shores in a west-east direction.
It's mild there with mild winters and warm summers. On its north the region is encompassed by the mountains in the neighboring country of Armenia and on the south by Kamtal mountains. It lies east of the city of Jolfa.
The building dates back to the mid-Safavid era when Shah Abbas was the king, who was the third and most masterful king of the dynasty. It was renovated last in the Ghajar era and since then it hasn't undergone any change.
