4. Misrepresentation and deception:
The term of “Misrepresentation” is a derivative form of “Misrepresent” meaning guile and ruse and it has been interpreted as dissimulating and dissembling of something’s demerit, disguising of defect of someone’s own or commodity, delusion and demagoguery.
“Deception” also means dishonesty, deceit, dubiety and duplicity (hypocrisy). Adducing to the religious and historical texts, Jews had also a long history in understatement, trick and deception and have well. Of course, this feature has seen in many different ways in the social and political life of the Jewish people. From the forgery and falsification of verses and religious traditions of Judaism, Christianity and Islam, deceit and deception in business to false claims of victimization throughout the history for demagoguery of different societies and paving the way for a return to the promised land and preparing their own nation and the world for the advent of savior!!! To personal and religious beliefs secrecy in order to create a better safe space to advance of their own political and economic aims in the international arena are all clear examples of misrepresentation and deception.
4. 1. Understatement:
“Those whom we have revealed the Book to them (Jews and Christians) recognize his truth as they recognize their sons; but most surely some of them conceal the truth with malice while they know.”
“Was not a promise taken from them in the Book that they would not quote anything about Allah except the truth, while they have read what is in it.”
In the following verse, there are explicitly and succinctly pointed out both concealment of facts (understatement) and religion retail quid pro quo for a low cost by the Christians and the Jews:
“And when God made a convent with those (Christians and Jews) who were given the Book: You shall certainly make it illuminated to people and you shall not conceal it; but they cast it behind their backs and sold it for a small price and so evil is that which they buy.” And he [Allah] says in another verse:
“O followers of the Book! Why do you misrepresent the truth with falsehood and dissemble the truth while you know?”
4. 2. Falsification of scriptures:
As the “Holly Quran” predicate upon the Jewish tribe, they are the people interested in falsification and sophistication of facts and truths. Neither of themselves nor anybody could trust in the historical stories narrated by Jewish people; because they have no fear of distorting the contents and it is Jews’ old consuetude through which they deviate to an utterance or act in the religious knowledge at any moment.
“But People of the Book - except a few of them - broke their covenant; we cursed them and made their hearts hard. They altered the words from their meanings and they neglected their profit of that advice which they were reminded of”. In another verse, “Holy Quran” says:
“And Jews who listen to your words well until they find a pretext to deny you, they are spies of another group who have not come to you themselves, they distort (change) the words from their original concept.”
Generally distortion of “Torah” has been accomplished in two ways of literal and semantic distortions. The literal distortion includes several types that are:
- Distortion by shortcoming;
- Distortion by adding;
- Distortion by changing or displacing words;
- Semantic distortion that is a corrupt justification, interpretation and explication of Torah.
Although according to Quran’s view and Islamic commentators, “multiple gospels” (New Testament) were also distorted, but they have addressed about Jews’ deception:
“Nobody is discerning, and nobody is aspirant of God. All have been misled and frustrated entirely. No one is righteous even one person, their throats are an open grave and they deceive by their tongues, snake venom is under their lips and their mouths are full of curses and acrimonies. Their feet are swift to shed blood. Destruction and misery are in their ways and they have not perceived way of peace. No piety is in their eyes.”
Muslims’ religious topics have not been also immune from Jews’ malversation. The penetration of Israelites in Islamic culture in the wider context of both cultural and political terrains left profound effects. As so their effects during fourteen centuries have been remained in various interpretive, historical, theological and jurisprudential thoughts and writings.
Although the term of Israelites is the penetration of Jewish culture in interpretations, but for our purposes, the Israelis term is a broader concept of this issue and it is impression of Jewish and Christian cultures on interpretations and it is predominance of the color of these two cultures - and so on – over the interpretations.
But since the advent of Islam to its universalization, Jews have always associated with Muslims more than others and they were greater in number than their brethren; for this reason, they - compared to the Christianity and the rest of the other sects – left the most influence on interpretations (and other Islamic sources).
Among the first people who operated in the field of Jewish culture publication, “Abdullah bin Salam” was a Jewish savant who was Islamized at the time of the Prophet (Peace be upon him and his progeny). “Wahb Ibn Munabbih” is another person who was expert in the past news. He was Jewish and promoted the false information in the Islamic society. Wahb’s hadiths have been adduced by his brother Hammam in Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim [that are the important and authentic sources of Sunnis].
“Ka'ab al-Ahbar” was one of Yemen’s Jews and he was Islamized after the Prophet (Peace be upon him and his progeny) and when Muawiyah got the sovereignty over Levant, he was his assistant. He messed the hadith world by his baseless quotes from the Jewish books and he struck a deathblow to the Islamic culture by this way. He was even greatly praised by Mu'awiya. Ka'ab al-Ahbar even interdicted writing of the Prophet’s hadiths (Peace be upon him and his progeny) throughout his influence on the second caliph. There were these people and other proselyted Islamized Jews who adduced a lot of stories of “Talmud” in the Islamic hadiths, and thus they were included among the history of Muslims’ erudition.
4. 3. The spreading of lies:
Spreading of lies and dishonesties is also a matter of the distortion and innovation. In this regard, the Jewish people have also used the arm of malversation and deception in order to display the facts of scriptures to other historical events of different era unrealistic very well. As far as their religious sources also pointed out these features:
“Does human deceive God? Have you ever deceived me as you are saying in what you’ve been deceived? In Tithes and Gifts. You’re damned intensely; because you i.e. all the nation have deceived me”.
Or, from the exordium to the ending of the book of “Song of songs of Solomon”, including romantic and sometimes obscene terms attributed to the Prophet Solomon (peace be upon him). Will Durant says in this regard:
“The sonnets of love in Torah are the crux of oomph! We do not know how the religious scholars are unaware or neglected and have allowed that these sonnets with all erotic emotions written in the book?”
In the “Quran”, it has been proposed that the Jews attributed blasphemy and wizardry to Solomon (Peace be upon him):
“…And Solomon was never an unbeliever but the devils disbelieved, they taught mankind the sorcery.”
Another example of false imputes to the prophets is something said about the Prophet Isaac (peace be upon him), they have said: Because of the senescence and blindness of Prophet Isaac (peace be upon him) and lack of discernment of the appearance of their sons, Esau was deceived by his another son, Jacob (Peace be upon him), and he wrongly passed blessing and prophethood to Prophet Jacob (peace be upon him) at the end.
4. 4. The fraud and breach of the rate:
One of other instances of misrepresentation and deception could be mentioned the dishonesty of Jews in trade and economic transactions.
Any deception upon a Jew is a great sin. Upon a gentile, only the direct deception is prohibited. The indirect deception is allowed…
When scriptures approve the usury (an unlawful practice) for others (gentiles) to be sanctioned, is not it expected the fraud and cheating in trade to be permitted?
Some Christians also believe that:
Jews will try to concentrate all economic activities on their coreligionists and they will set about many different tricks to pocket up money of Catholics with usury.
Within the arm of breaching of the rate to achieve more profits and compliance with the principle of “detriment to others”, Jews seized the economic control of financial transactions moreover the market disruption. Undoubtedly, they did not spare any ruses or tricks in this way of sales talk.
4. 5. Adaptability to the environment:
Jews are versed and adept in exploitation of the environment, and they could change the situation to their advantage. Adaptability gives them the opportunity that if time conditions are such which they should comply the rules of conformity with society, they will do it certainly. Jews have managed with great skills to lay coverage on their ethnic and religious characteristics in indispensable situations until an opportunity will be provided to express them.
This nature of them has the same root as the misrepresentation and deception and concealment of facts discussed earlier. Jewish leaders and sages felt the importance and sometimes requirement of this flexibility and lenity throughout history and they have believed that:
If Israel wants to continue its survival, it should not desist from resorting to this feature.
It seems that the procedure of adaptation to the present conditions and the extreme ethnic solidarity has an undeniable relationship with durable and stable of the people who although have the least number of followers of divine religions, they could so far dominate over the pillars of the world’s policy and economy in addition to maintaining their ethnic identity.
The stunning power of the Jews in adaptability to the environment has gained more appearance and importance than before today. Today, the Jews of Western Europe and “America” are no longer followed to keep their religion and national characteristic intact, Vice versa, they would tend to lose those characteristics and to being colored in other people of those communities and they even would have managed efficiently. Jews in the “British” are as the British people, wherever it is needed, they become Germans, and if the milieu demands, they will be Italians and they could be even anti-Semitic in “France”.
Ironically, the Jews who are known for their racial and religious prejudice and they consider themselves isolated from the others, if conditions imply, they are able to being colored in any aspects and any religions in order to achieve their material interests rooted in their extreme secularism; Such as Marranos.
Is not this whimsy derived from their inherent duplicity, hypocrisy and demagogy? Are not essentially this cheating and deception in contradiction with being chosen and superior and treating others as not humans and even as animals? Are not these characteristics as the signs of instability in the identity and the behavior character of Jewish people?
5. Cruelty and covenant-breaking:
“Quran” explicitly mention that the hearts of Jewish people is harder than rocks:
“Then your hearts hardened after that, so that they were like rocks, rather worse in hardness; and surely there are some rocks from which streams burst forth, and surely some of them which split asunder so water outflows from them, and surely there are some of them which fall down from the slope for fear of God”.
Elsewhere, the reason for heartless and cruelty of Jews’ hearts, it is touted for breaking of promises and breaches of the divine faith:
“Then [deserve] for their covenant-breaking, we cursed them and made their hearts hard”.
So the hearts that are not receptive to the word of truth, they will turned into the nests of demons; and when the evil will be a ruler of man, it involves the man in the scourge and wrath of God.
“Say: Shall I inform you of (whom are) worse than it in retribution for Allah? Those whom God [Allah] has cursed them and put upon them wrath and whom he made (transshaped) them into apes and swine.”
Indeed, people who did not pity the elders and the prophets, could not issue the permits of any violence and cruelties that based on their religious duty?
“But in cities of these nations that the Jehovah, your LORD, gives you for an inheritance, do not let any beasts alive. But destroy all of them namely, the Hittites and the Amorites and the Canaanites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites utterly, as the Jehovah, your LORD commanded you.
6. Materialism:
Materialism or propensity to origin of the material could be fundamentally observed in Semitic thought. The notion of materialism has permeated in the teachings of Jewish scriptures so that they suppose even God such as other objects as a material or as a human being or even as a strange creature for themselves. It is the God that has been delimitated to the lowdown capacities and capabilities of mankind.
“The people grumblingly vituperated in the ear of the Lord, and then the Lord heard it, and his scourge was kindled”.
“The smoke was exhaled from his (The God) nose and a burning fire came out of his mouth and the sparks were kindled by it. He bowed the heavens and came down the revelation of God and a caliginous darkness was beneath his feet, he mounted the cherubs, and flew and he was appeared on the wings of wind”.
God who was belonged to the Israelites judge other gods. He has children, he has a house, and he smells the fragrances, he sleeps, he laughs, he mocks and even he is wicked and deceitful:
“You made your people of Israelites steadfast until they shall be for you forever, O’ LORD! You became their God”.
“The Lord stands in the congregation of the Gods, and he judges among other Gods”.
“And there was a day when the sons of Lord came to stand to the front of Lord, Satan came also among them”.
“The God is known in Judah, and his name is in the great Israel. His tent is in Jerusalem and his dwelling is in the Zion”.
“And the Lord smelled a sweet odor, and the LORD said in his heart: After this I did not curse the earth because of man, because the imagination of man’s heart is evil from childhood and I shall not destroy all animals once again as I did”.
“O’LORD Wake Up! Why did you sleep?”
“He is who sits on the heavens and laughs. The Lord makes a mockery of them”.
“And then Moses returned to the LORD, and said: O’LORD! Why did you misbehave to this people?”
"O’LORD! You deceived me, so I was deceived. You were stronger than me so you overcame. I was joked all the day and everyone is mocking me…because the word of the Lord was disdain and derision for me all the day”.
Regardless of the Incarnation of the God, the Israelites are people who do not surrender to the pleasures and material perfections and they will not believe in any truths from the facts beyond any sense, as they are the same today, and this very temperament cause that their intellect and wiling are under submission and control of sense and material, and but anything which sense and material recommend, they do not consider admissible and they will not except it, and this very submission toward the sense has been caused that they do not accept any words unless the sense affirms it and if the sense does not confirm or deny it, they will not accept it, though it is right.
7- Lack of belief in the resurrection:
“Torah” blacked out one of the most basic religious knowledge (Resurrection) completely and it did not express anything about it.
According to the researchers, the reward that has been emphasized in the text of the Old Testament and it has been promised to those people doing charity and good deeds, is mainly temporal rewards and bonuses such as augmentation of wheat and agricultural products, the boom of grapes (of course the wine!) and increasing in oil and traditional blessing for the Jews i.e. these are worldly. In the same way, the Israelites retribution has been focused on famine, displacement, disease, war and enmity- but quite secular and mundane. So in the Old Testament, it is not assigned even any episodes which is explicitly pertaining to the eternal reward or punishment and therefore, the major and great Jewish sect of Sadducees were essentially did not believe in the resurrection of the dead and Day of Judgment.
8. Intense worldliness:
One of the characteristics of Jewish people is their strong worldliness.
In this regard, “Holy Quran” says that:
“And you most certainly find them greediest people (even greedier than the idolaters) for the life, that each of them loves that he should be granted a life of a thousand years.”
Thus, by virtue of their belonging to the world, an evasion from death could be seen among them that “Quran” frequently mentioned it many times:
“Say: O you, who are Jews, if you think that you are friends of God rather than be as other people, then invoke death if you are truthful”.
This intense attachment to mundane life could be the source of other behavioral characteristics which might have been left the significant impressions on the choice of specific economic approaches and livelihood of the Jewish people in different historical periods (from ancient times until now). For example, it could be adduced to applying of legitimate and illegitimate approaches to profit more and augment of wealth such as usury and bribery. The Jews say: “You could lend a foreigner to profit, but do not lend your brother to profit”. “Holly Quran” says in this regard:
“Because of the wrongdoing of those who were Jews and because they hinder many [of people] from the Allah’s way, we disallow them the good things which had been lawful for them.”
Some of Israelites’ repeated excuses based on diminutive and inappreciable requests from the Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) to enjoy more blessings in material endowments rooted in attachment and bounding to this world.
“And when you said: O Moses we could not bear with one food, therefore pray Lord on our behalf to bring forth for us out of what grows on the earth [such] of its greens and its cucumbers, and its garlic, and its lentils, and its onions for us, he [Moses] said: would you exchange that which is better for that which is worse? Enter to the city, so you will have what you asked for [which are available]. And [the sign of] abasement and humiliation were brought down upon them [upon their forehead] they have incurred the wrath of God because they disbelieve in the signs of God and they killed the prophets unjustly; this was so because they disobeyed and exceeded the limits”.
In this regard, it is quoted in the Jewish sources that:
“Eat your bread with joy, and enjoy drinking your wine, because what you do, they have already been designated by God as it was his desire. Always wear clean clothes and never forget to rub on your head fragrant oil. Enjoy life with the woman, whom you love. In all the days of life which everything is fugacious, this is your interest of wealth and life that you earn it by working under the scorching sun. Until you have the power, act what your hands are able to do; because in the underworld (Sheol) that you are walking toward it, there is neither practice nor the account and nor the ability and nor the knowledge.”
9. Orientation to the corruption:
In fact, corruption is the logical result of worldliness and drowning in the materials. Whether in “Holly Quran” or in Jewish religious scriptures, it has been repeatedly mentioned the corruption and perpetration of sins by Israelites. According to “Quran”, Jewish people are not only guilty, but also they have been touted as the people who accelerate to the sins, and perhaps, it is for their fervent devotion to the world hence God Almighty says about them in “Holy Quran” that:
“You will see many of them striving than one another to hasten in sin and transgression and devouring the pelf, Verily evil is what they are doing.”
“Eat and drink the provisions of God and do not act corruptly in the earth and do not make mischief.”
“And the Lord said to Moses: Go down! Because the people you brought out of land of Egypt have become corrupt.”
“Adultery and wine suck up their heart sap. My people pray the wood, and their wood predicates them for their evil, because the spirit of fornication has deceived them and they have refused to obey their Lord…you girls fornicate and your brides prostitute.”
