The dish is locally prepared in Shahrud, Semnan Province.
Ingredients
Spices, as per taste
Oil, as required
Grapes leaves, 300 g
Rice, 3 cups
Mustard powder, 1 tsp
Onion, 1 no
Soy sauce, 1 tbsp
Dried lime powder, 1 tbsp
Chicken, boneless, 500 to 600 g

Procedure
Cut Chicken into small pieces. Chop the onion and spread over the chicken pieces. Also sprinkle dried lime powder, Mustard power, Soy sauce, salt and saffron over them. Put in the fridge for at least an hour until marinated and flavored. Wash grape leaves and chop. Cook in a pot for a few minutes and then drain the water. Prepare rice, Katteh or Polo. Don't forget to mix the rice with chopped grape leaves when cooking the rice. In the meantime, drizzle drops of oil inside a pot and add in the marinated chicken pieces. Sprinkle a little turmeric powder and sauté. Pour a small amount of water and let it cook over the low flame until well-done. Serve with the rice. Bon Appetit!
