Ingredients:

Serving 6
2 tablespoons butter
565 g chicken or calf meat, cut into 2 1/2 cm cubes
1/4 easpoon black pepper or chili powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
11 cup chicken stock
1 cup lentils
4 cups meat gravy
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon powder
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1 cup sultana raisins
2/3 cup dried figs, chopped
Cooking Duration:
1:40 minutes

directions:

Set a pot over the stove and melt butter. Add in meat and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Saute a bit. Pour in chicken stock and allow on medium heat 45 minutes. Then remove stewing meat and keep aside.
Add in meat gravy as well as lentils. Bring to a boil and then reduce the flame to low to cook 15 minutes.
In a bowl, mix cinnamon, nutmeg, and basil powder and put in the pot. Then add in the stewing meat, left aside before. finally add raisins and cubed figs and cook 10 more minutes till settled.
