Ingredients:
4 green or red bell peppers5 desserspoons olive oil
1 medium onion
1 clove garlic, pressed
450 g ground red meat
1 1/2 cups cooked rice
1 cup tomatoes, finely chopped
1 teaspoon dried pennyroyal
1/2 cup ketchup sauce
Salt, chili or ground black pepper for seasoning
Procedure
Fill a proper-sized pot with enough water and set over a low flame. Remove the tops and empty inside the bell peppers carefully with a knife. Put peppers inside water and a add a little salt. Allow there 2 to 3 minutes till soft. Then lay them in cold water and remove. Put them upside down in a strainer till their water is entirely drained. Set a frying pan over the heat and grease with 4 tablespoons of olive oil. Add in chopped onions and garlic and saute 5 minutes. Add in the ground meat, cooked rice, cubed tomatoes, and pennyroyal. Adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper. Stir well.Rub 1 remaing dessertspoon olive oil on the body of bell peppers and stuff them with the fillings. Then dissolve well the ketchup sauce in 1/4 cup of water and pour in a Pyrex dish. Place the stuffed bell peppers inside and put in the oven at 150 degrees Fahrenheit for 50 minutes or so.
