There is always a special link between the words of the Holy Quran and Persian literature at different periods and this link has shown itself in various dimensions and shapes.
From this perspective, divine manifestations and Islam doctrines, which are influenced by the Quran are broad in various Persian poetry; from the direct participation of the Quran to indirect references to the Quran that made the most poetic talents to poem and its link to the original principles have been helpful for poets in this regard.
These manifestations that were accompanied by Persian poetry from the early days and later become to its integral nature had evolutionary path through the history of Persian poetry and hence, the change over this course is an extensive and verifiable subject; as far as each subject can be a prelude and in fact a specific context for a detailed and deep investigation.
From this perspective, we will inevitably investigate a part of the Quranic references in this area in the opportunity that this process provides for us.
Since the mentioned subject had an obvious and significant prestige in the poem of the past and contemporary poets. We will introduce, review and evaluate this subject in the poem before addressing the poetry of the Islamic Revolution and the period thereafter.
In this section, we investigate the presence of Quranic verses and its implications in Persian poetry regardless of specific periodization and time position of poets. Because despite the devotion and attention of poets –whether the ancient and contemporaries to this valuable point- it has been done only in a limited number of poetry such as Sanaaei, Haafez, Moulana, Sohrab and etc.
Poetic evidences and examples are not in a scope to be evaluated extensively and in boundaries of time for each poet in this brief opportunity. Hence, we introduce and evaluate examples of Quranic references from previous poets, who are the teacher of contemporary poets along with contemporary poets.
At the beginning of this article, we need to review the literary aspects of Quran and the greatness of this book in terms of artistic criteria.
Holy Quran, is the book that does not fit in none of the literary forms between humans; so that it cannot be poetry, neither the story nor a literary piece and prose poem. Meanwhile, many techniques and arrays can be found in the Quran in the mentioned frameworks.
The Holy Quran benefits from poetic texts and contains a lot of informative stories and have special features of prose literature. Quran stories are very special and worthy in terms of storytelling techniques. Especially the story of Joseph that is called as the "best story".
Literary and rhetorical aspects of Quran have been considered by Persian and Arabic literary experts for a long time. Many rhetoric scholars have compiled artworks about artistic aspects of Quran.
Application of Quranic references, religious texts and prayers in the revolution and war poetry is another significant point that poets evaluated them in their religious poems. The quality of the application is quoting passages from the divine verses and concepts and linkable issues with a poem of this period.
In this section, we refer to examples of the application of the divine annunciation and prayers, which are derived from the Quran and other religious texts in poetry of Holy Defense and revolution:
At the utmost of patience and conflict
It must be understood
That in the position of holy God
There is no power!
He is the only superpower
If the profit makes war
Broadsword of rapist chains of homeland and property
They are arrogant and not powerful
And it should be known
They are submissive of unseen governance
And divine provisions
In provided promise
Is approaching;
The hands of offender devil
The enemy hands with Quran!
In general, the most important characteristic of content and attitudes of mentioned poem refer to the divine annunciation based on the victory of true believers. The struggle between truth and falsehood and definitive overcome of truth against it, has special reflection in the revolution and Holy Defense poem.
We review another example of the application of spiritual poetry that is taken into consideration as themes and allusions to a Quranic verse.
In this poem, which is in the form of quatrains, the poet refers to the subject of "book", "iron" and "measure" in Quran and wise and poetic link of these three with what is his thought, is noteworthy.
These valiant and zealous men
They are the interpretation of "book", "iron" and "measure"
They are statues of battle and the epitome of faith
In a hand is a gun and in another hand is Quran
Application and quoting verses from the holy texts that are kind of tradition of application and prayers in front of the holy defense are the other contents forming the ritual poetry about Revolution and Sacred Defense.
Since discussion on prayer and appeal is well considered in these contents, a kind of failure is evident in associating with brave men in the field of battle and in the caravan of martyrs.
Benefit from the divine verses, hadiths and narratives not only have been considered by poet in revolution and Holy Defense poetry, but also special attention can be seen in the ritual poetry. When, poets have been closed to original and spiritual teachings in any time with these sacred writings and they are inspired by it; their works and poem are also influenced by these truth and tended towards valuable contents and finally they have received the spiritual and religious power of durability and authenticity.
